As a seasoned Witcher fan, who’s been through the trials and tribulations of Rivia with Geralt, I must say, the reveal of Ciri as the protagonist in The Witcher IV has left me utterly spellbound! My heart skipped a beat when she wielded those steel and silver swords, and the fiery chain lasso was just the icing on the cake.
CD Projekt RED, the developer behind the series, unveiled the inaugural official trailer for The Witcher 4. As one could guess (or not), the story focuses on Ciri stepping into the limelight as the main character, replacing Geralt of Rivia from previous games.
In the trailer, constructed with Unreal Engine 5, there’s a scene featuring Ciri battling a gangly beast. She employs two swords, one made of steel and the other of silver, and a chain that she can ignite, using it like a lasso to subdue her opponents.
