The next season of The White Lotus, which has started filming, will have a bit of a different approach than previous seasons, according to Variety.
Mike White’s popular series playfully critiques social class, blending humor, sadness, and suspense. Each season is set at a different location within the show’s hotel chain, focusing on the stories of both the guests and the people who work there.
The show’s first three seasons were filmed in exotic locations – Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand. Now, the new season takes a different approach, setting its story during the glamorous Cannes Film Festival.

As reported by Variety, the next season of the comedy-drama will be filmed at two hotels: Airelles Château de la Messardière, which will serve as the White Lotus du Cap, and the Hôtel Martinez, representing the White Lotus Cannes. This represents a small change to the show’s usual format.
In the past, each season of the show took place entirely within a single hotel and its surrounding property. However, the upcoming season will expand the setting to two locations. Filming is happening in St. Tropez, Monaco, and Paris, with the story unfolding along the French Riviera.
