The vile sexual slur you DIDN’T see on Bec and Gia have the nastiest feud of the season… ALI DAHER reveals why Nine isn’t showing what really happened at the hens party

The producers of Married At First Sight joked that Bec Zacharia and Gia Fleur had an instant connection, saying it was like ‘Christmas came early’ when they first saw each other at the pre-wedding party.

The thirteenth season of the popular Nine show started with a particularly intense rivalry, so much so that network executives were relieved and celebrated after reviewing the initial footage.

And yet the show is keeping the full extent of their rivalry under wraps – for now.

Monday night’s premiere of the show gave viewers their first look at the brides who will be getting married this season, as it featured their bachelorette party.

Unlike past conflicts on the show, such as those between Olivia Frazer and Domenica Calarco, or Cyrell Paule and Jessika Power, the tension between Bec and Gia was obvious right from the start—even before they’d had a chance to drink anything.

Bec seemed vulnerable and deeply insecure, weighed down by past experiences. Gia, on the other hand, entered the scene with a bold and almost overbearing confidence.

According to insiders, the conflict started almost immediately after Gia arrived at the bachelorette party. She was late, which had already created some awkwardness, and things quickly escalated from there.

Although it appeared she simply arrived late, she had actually been waiting alone at the event for a long time, becoming more and more worried. Gia said the producers even encouraged her to create a dramatic entrance.

By the time she joined the group, the dynamics were firmly established.

Bec, easily upset and already friendly with the other brides, didn’t get along with Gia right away. She found Gia’s outgoing personality and confident attitude to be overwhelming.

Although the episode showed how different Bec and Gia are – for example, Bec openly doubted Gia’s story about being a former Playboy model – even more pointed arguments weren’t included in the final cut.

Reports indicate that Bec reportedly called Gia a highly offensive name, shocking those present and highlighting the rapid increase in tension between them. It’s important to note that this report doesn’t confirm the insult was accurate.

The offensive comment was removed during editing, likely because it was too harsh or didn’t fit the vulnerable image the producers were creating for Bec. However, Gia soon found out about it and was very angry.

From the very first day of filming, Gia believed she would be the main character this season.

She intentionally walked in with a confrontational attitude, deliberately playing up a stereotypical, provocative image to upset the other women.

One insider said Bec and Gia were like ‘oil and water’ from the moment they met.

Okay, so Bec just radiated this vibe, like she was sizing me up and totally disapproving. But Gia? Gia saw right through it, immediately! And honestly, she wasn’t about to let Bec intimidate her – she was ready to stand her ground, you know? It was amazing to watch!

Before the show began airing, Bec asked Gia to share her reasons for being on the experiment, what she hoped to gain from it, and a bit about herself.

Gia was surprised and quickly suggested everyone share their thoughts, but the idea wasn’t well-received.

Bec suddenly became angry, using strong language and accusing Gia of avoiding the issue. That was the turning point, and a clear rivalry began.

Honestly, it was awful watching it happen. All night at Bec’s hens party, producers kept dragging her off for little chats to the camera. Every time she came back, I noticed everyone looking and whispering – it was so obvious they were talking about her, and I’m pretty sure they were saying negative things. It really felt like they were ganging up on her, and it just made me so uncomfortable to witness.

Bec, believing it was best to be upfront, eventually told Gia she had spent a few minutes talking negatively about her during an interview.

‘That was the point of no return,’ a source said.

Gia immediately felt like she was under attack, and the conversation quickly turned into a back-and-forth of defensiveness.

The two women were very outspoken during their interviews. Their harsh and personal remarks about each other are expected to be highlighted and used to drive the storyline as the season progresses.

The show’s creators were thrilled they didn’t need to manufacture drama. From the start, the two brides truly disliked each other, providing a genuine conflict, according to a source.

So, why was the feud downplayed in the first episode of the season?

According to someone involved in making the show, a particularly intense storyline was cut from the season premiere because the episode already needed to focus on introducing several new characters.

They decided it was better simply to hint at discord and let it ‘simmer in the background’.

The show’s producers faced a different issue at the bachelor party. They tried to create excitement, but the grooms didn’t provide enough natural drama, so they had to manufacture it instead.

Everything shifted when a senior producer stopped Chris Nield, the groom, and bluntly told him the footage was dull. He instructed Chris to go back into the room and make a controversial statement, suggesting the focus wasn’t solely on the women’s personalities.

Chris – who was cast for his brutal honesty and zero filter – didn’t hesitate.

He was advised to ask the other prospective husbands detailed questions about what they were looking for in a wife, and to clearly state his own preferences as well.

Still, viewers can rest assured the moment wasn’t as spontaneous as it appeared.

According to a source, Chris didn’t make those comments on his own. He was specifically instructed to stir up trouble, and he followed those instructions.

The other grooms immediately felt uneasy, as some had already been cautioned that their comments might be used as part of the study.

But Chris didn’t care. He pushed the envelope, and producers got exactly what they wanted.

You wouldn’t believe what goes on behind the scenes of reality TV! While everyone was glued to their screens watching all the drama in the season premiere, there were actually two extra contestants there – a couple who ended up being completely cut from the show. It just goes to show you don’t always see the full story!

Micah Lomu and Ankita Karungalekar were asked to leave the pre-wedding celebrations for their ‘Married at First Sight’ season after a dramatic incident that wasn’t filmed for the show.

As I mentioned before, they were asked to leave after unconfirmed reports about Micah started spreading on TikTok, though both he and the other person strongly deny the claims.

Everyone said they were very close to the other actors, which made it especially difficult to remove them from the final version of the project.

‘They weren’t outsiders,’ a source told me.

They quickly became a close-knit part of the group, having a particularly strong connection at the wedding and forming friendships right away.

When the first dinner party happened, Micah and Ankita had mysteriously disappeared, and the others were told not to talk about them.

‘It was like they never existed,’ said a spy. ‘No explanation. No closure. Just silence.’
