However, it appears that her strategy to win King Charles’s heart and hand in marriage may face obstacles due to the ongoing rivalry between him and his brother. It seems quite plausible that Queen Elizabeth is engaging in a strategic game at present, with her alleged marriage to Charles being a means to acquire power and influence over France. In essence, everything appears to be serving her ultimate goal.

They choose fencing as their competition, with the victor being the one who wins her heart. Catherine advises Anjou to let Charles win, but in a surprising twist, Charles starts coughing up blood near the end of the contest. Now, another royal child is unwell.
