Now in its fourteenth year, the 3daysofdesign festival in Copenhagen has steadily grown into a highly respected and genuinely design-centered event.
In 2026, events will be held across eight areas of Copenhagen, from Christianshavn to Nordhavn. The program is incredibly diverse, featuring everything from established furniture showrooms with over a hundred years of history to unique installations like an art show inside a vending machine. Venues range from large waterfront spaces to small, first-time exhibits in a Rosengård studio.
From June 10th to 12th, a lot is happening, and we’ve carefully reviewed everything to select the highlights for our yearly guide and map. We’ve identified around 30 must-see events, but honestly, given how good the overall program is, that’s just a beginning – there’s even more to discover!
DEORON
The Milan-based curatorial platform is launching in Copenhagen at Papirøen, showcasing the work of over 30 designers, brands, and studios. A unique, sculptural sound system will be the central feature of the space, hosting both listening sessions and live music throughout the day.

HAY
Everyone knows HAY, the popular Danish furniture brand, and their festival exhibit is always a highlight. This year, they’re also offering a sneak peek at their new collections at O-Overgaden, an art space in Christianshavn.

Ukurant
Ukurant, a long-time supporter of new artists, will be back for the 2026 festival at Fabrikken for Art & Design. This year’s exhibition focuses on how the art is made, letting visitors see the experiments, materials, and thought process behind each piece.

AHEC
Okay, so I just checked out this exhibit called ‘Wood for the Trees’ in Copenhagen, and it was seriously cool. The American Hardwood Export Council basically turned this old dock building into a whole forest experience. It’s set up in five sections – they walk you through how timber grows, how it’s planned and selected, how forests stay strong, and finally, what the finished wood products look like. It wasn’t just looking at stuff either – there were things you could actually touch and really immersive audio-visual displays. The whole point was to show how important responsible forestry is, and they did a great job of making you feel that.

Verner Panton
In 2026, we’ll celebrate the 100th anniversary of Verner Panton’s birth with events throughout the city. Several brands will honor the iconic designer, and Designmuseum Danmark will host a special exhibition. The exhibition features a curated collection of Panton’s most innovative designs, selected from his complete archive by his family estate, who are the sole keepers of his legacy, and presented in partnership with the museum.

Louise Roe’s Roe Bar
Louise Roe is transforming her Rosengård gallery into a relaxed space called “The Roe Bar,” rather than hosting a typical art show. She’ll be unveiling her new Frankie Café Chair and Table, along with the Person Glass Lamp, in a comfortable and laid-back environment.

Our Society at Pool CPH
The Aarhus-based brand is hosting an exhibition at Pool cph, a café located in the courtyard of Bolten’s Gård near Kongens Nytorv. The focus is on letting visitors experience the designs firsthand, rather than just looking at them. A new chair will be unveiled alongside other furniture, lighting, and interior pieces, and guests are encouraged to try everything out while enjoying a drink.

Ishinomaki Laboratory
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Japanese furniture brand – born from the recovery efforts after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake – is showcasing 15 of its most important designs in Nordhavn. The exhibition looks back at the brand’s journey and explores its commitment to community-focused creation, and why that approach has remained so successful.

Bang & Olufsen
I’m seeing a lot of classic Bang & Olufsen designs lately, so it’s interesting that their current show, “Designing for Future Generations,” explores what it takes to create products that people will continue to love and use for years to come. The exhibition, held at their Copenhagen store, is less about the products themselves and more about the ideas behind lasting design.

Summer Nights
Okay, so after the main gaming expo each day in Copenhagen, there’s this cool thing happening. A bunch of different game companies are putting on these smaller, evening events all over the city. It’s a really chill vibe, and honestly, it’s where I’m hoping to stumble across some hidden gems and unexpected surprises. Definitely something to check out if you’re still buzzing after a day of demos!

Other Circle
From June 10th to 13th, Other Circle is a festival celebrating creativity in all its forms – including design, art, fashion, food, and music. It’s designed to be different and doesn’t fit neatly into any single category.

Georg Jensen
Georg Jensen is bringing a touch of magic back to its main store on Amagertorv with “At Play.” This installation celebrates the brand’s 120-year history with silver, transforming the space into a playful garden and highlighting the artistry that’s been at the heart of Georg Jensen since 1904.

Magniberg
Founded by Bengt Thornefors and Nina Norgren, the Stockholm textile brand is opening a new space in Copenhagen during the festival. It will function as a showroom, a comfortable living area, and a place to host events.

Tekla
Tekla, known for its high-quality bedding, is returning to Kunsthal Charlottenborg with a new exhibition called ‘The Heart of Living.’ The show will explore the history of patchwork quilts, highlighting how they connect to 20th-century Swedish design. Visitors can expect to see cozy cabin beds, beautiful colors drawn from Tekla’s past collections, and delicate embroidered pieces displayed throughout the rooms of the former royal palace.

Tarkett
A flooring company has partnered with designers Yinka Ilori, Laurids Gallée, and Christian + Jade to reimagine three materials. This collaboration highlights the idea that creating a circular economy – where materials are reused and waste is minimized – should begin with design choices, and that designers should be at the forefront of this process.

Objects May Vary
This exhibition in Nordhavn features coat racks designed by 23 different designers. They were all asked to reimagine this everyday object, exploring it as both an idea and a building challenge. The result is a collection of pieces that demonstrate how modern designers approach and reinvent the familiar.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the popular Swedish furniture brand is hosting an event on Papirøen focused on creativity and craftsmanship. A new chair made from solid wood, designed by British designer Max Lamb, will be the main attraction, highlighting how to get the most out of natural materials.

Tadaima
Copenhagen-based studio Soft Monuments creates installations featuring objects displayed to be experienced through their physical qualities and the feeling they evoke, rather than relying on labels or descriptions. It’s a family-run operation focused on letting the objects speak for themselves.

+Halle
We’re big fans of +Halle’s work, and their collaboration with Spacon&X was a highlight last year. This year, they’re expanding with a new deli and releasing designs from talented studios like Fengfan Yang, Jamie Wolfond Studio, Krøyer–Sætter–Lassen, and Form Us With Love.

Jaime is dedicating this performance to his mother, who recently passed away. The show is titled “Jaime, what are you doing?” – a phrase she often said to him, and a way for him to honor her memory, with support from St. Leo.

Now in its third edition, VÆRKTØJ explores the sewing machine – a fascinating tool that connects home life, handmade crafts, and large-scale manufacturing. Designers like Erwan Bouroullec, Foster + Partners Industrial Design, Jonas Trampedach, Kasper Salto, Louise Campbell, Pearson Lloyd, and Sia Hurtigkarl each share their unique perspectives on this versatile object.

Marta Los Angeles
The Los Angeles-based gallery is showcasing KNIFE, FORK, SPOON 3.0 at Den Frie Udstilling as part of the ARK Journal’s DESIGN / DIALOGUE series. The exhibition features twelve new cutlery designs, all created using 3D-printed stainless steel, by artists including Misha Kahn, Minjae Kim, and Nifemi Marcus-Bello.

Bread and Butter
Following a successful debut last year, the Bread and Butter event is back with a new focus: bathing rituals. Sixteen designers have created unique pairs of objects inspired by their personal bathing experiences, referencing traditions from around the world like Danish harbor swims, Finnish saunas, Korean spa culture, and Japanese hot springs. The exhibit is located in a hidden space on Sankt Peders Stræde in Rosengård.

&Tradition
I just visited &Tradition’s show during the festival, and it was amazing! It took over three spaces – Lille Petra Café, Petra Hotel, and their main showroom. The whole exhibit, called ‘Traces,’ really made me think about how design, craftsmanship, and culture leave a lasting impact, and how something can feel both classic and totally new at the same time.

Fredericia
The exhibition “A Chronicle of Danish Design,” which was first displayed during Milan Design Week at the Triennale, is now open in Copenhagen. It features both historical pieces from Fredericia and artworks that showcase over a hundred years of furniture design.

GUBI
I’m so excited about what GUBI is doing at their Nordhavn location! They’ve completely transformed the waterfront space into something amazing called ‘Designed to Stir the Senses.’ It’s basically four different areas, beautifully put together with both classic pieces – they’re reissuing designs by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and Carlo De Carli, which I love – and brand new work from AMDL CIRCLE and Linda Korndal. Plus, they have this cool Beetle Bar and an outdoor Alfresco lounge, making it the perfect spot to hang out and experience great design.

LAYERED x Massproductions
Stockholm-based LAYERED studio and Massproductions are collaborating on ‘Industrial Choreography,’ an installation that transforms the art of weaving into an engaging environment. The installation features large, rotating pillars covered in thick wool, designed to echo the movements of a loom. This visually demonstrates the concept behind Massproductions’ new Cord Collection – a blend of precise industrial manufacturing and skilled handcraftsmanship working together harmoniously.
