Now everyone can go to the cottage.
Fans of the HBO Max show “Heated Rivalry” will soon be able to stay at Shane Hollander’s (played by Hudson Williams) cottage. Airbnb announced that the Lake Muskoka property will be available for rent starting March 3rd at 9 a.m. Pacific time. The nightly rate is $248.10 CAD (approximately $180 USD), a nod to the jersey numbers of Shane (24) and Ilya (Connor Storrie, 81).
Before it’s available to everyone, The Barlochan cottage will be open for limited early access stays from May 8-10, May 16-18, May 22-24, and May 29-31. After that, it will be available for regular bookings, and you can find it only on Airbnb.
Airbnb is offering fans the chance to stay at Barlochan cottage, the picturesque lakeside retreat recently featured in popular shows and movies. Now, you can book a real-life getaway to this stunning property on the shores of Lake Muskoka, bringing your favorite on-screen moments to life.

Jacob Tierney, the show’s creator, along with his producing partner Brendan Brady and the network executives involved, share why the second season will continue to strongly reflect its Canadian roots.
In the episode “Heated Rivalry,” Shane and Ilya sneak away to a secluded cottage for a romantic break, as they’re keeping their relationship a secret from the public. Ilya decides to join Shane after being moved by fellow hockey player Scott (François Arnaud), who publicly came out after winning a championship in a previous episode. Seeing Scott kiss his partner on TV inspires Ilya, and he immediately calls Shane to say he’ll come to the cottage.
Series creator Jacob Tierney explained to Entertainment Weekly in December that giving the character Arnaud a classic, big romantic comedy ending allowed him to create a more subdued and intimate conclusion for Shane and Ilya.
Shane and Ilya shared a romantic getaway at a cozy cottage on Lake Muskoka, where they confessed their feelings for each other, swam, and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. The cottage itself, which is available for rent, boasts nearly 400 feet of private waterfront, kayaks, canoes, and even an exercise room.
Airbnb has seen a surge in interest for secluded escapes, with searches for properties in Muskoka jumping 40% since the show ended in late December, suggesting viewers are inspired to book their own cozy cottage getaways.
Despite having a limited budget, the TV show “Heated Rivalry” became a major hit this winter. Produced by Crave in Canada and based on Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” books, the series gained a large following after being licensed by HBO Max. Warner Bros. Discovery reports that the show averaged 10.6 million viewers per episode in the U.S.
Fans of “Heated Rivalry” can now visit the show’s iconic cottage while they wait for season two, which is scheduled to arrive in spring 2027.
