Experience a refreshed trip down memory lane with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. This updated version retains much of what made the 2006 original so captivating, while smoothing over many of its rough spots. You’ll find an improved open-world RPG that has aged gracefully, featuring memorable questlines and stories that surpassed my expectations, enhanced leveling systems for a smoother experience, and numerous chances to shape your adventure according to your preferences due to the game’s generous freedom. However, some issues remain unaddressed, such as the game’s notorious bugs and certain design choices like enemy scaling and repetitive Oblivion levels that still leave room for improvement. Despite these flaws, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I reconnected with this quirky RPG, and I’m genuinely delighted to have embarked on this nostalgic journey (now complete with a sprint option).
