The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake Revealed by Bethesda in New Teaser

Finally, it’s official! Bethesda has confirmed the upcoming remake or remaster of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” is in development. Since early 2025, reliable leaks and reports have suggested that a fresh take on “Oblivion” would be released for consoles and PC this year. Although the authenticity of these rumors was seldom challenged, Bethesda had been tight-lipped about this revamped version of “Oblivion”, leaving many curious about when they might hear more. But now, the wait is over as an initial teaser has been unveiled.

Bethesda recently shared a sneak peek of the remake for the game Oblivion on social media, along with the announcement that more details will be revealed during a live stream on April 22nd. The stream is scheduled to start at 11:00am EST and can be watched on both YouTube and Twitch. In the teaser image they released, all that’s visible are an outline of a character’s head and the number “IV” in the center.

Based on previous reports, it appears that Bethesda is planning to unveil The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. If the rumors are true, we could see the game launching as early as tomorrow or later this week. Either way, everything seems to indicate that the updated version of Oblivion will be available for us to play quite soon.

When The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is released, it’s expected to be playable on Xbox and PC platforms, and it may also debut on Xbox Game Pass. As for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions, we’ll have to wait and see if they’re announced. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long to get more details about the release.
