The Elder Scrolls 6 will feature an NPC made in memory of a beloved fan, all thanks to the RPG community’s most dedicated lorekeepers – and $85,000: “We just finished up a meeting with Bethesda”

Earlier this year, Bethesda Game Studios held an auction where people could bid to name a character in The Elder Scrolls 6. While the team from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages didn’t win the auction with their $85,000 bid, Bethesda is still letting them collaborate with the developers to create a unique character.

Bethesda partnered with UESP, a passionate fan-run group that maintains the largest Elder Scrolls database, for a charity event. As UESP shared in a May post, Bethesda agreed to let the team design a character for the game if they could collectively raise $85,000 for Make-A-Wish. UESP explained that if they matched the auction amount through a donation campaign, they would be given the opportunity to create a character.

The team is working on a unique character for the next Elder Scrolls game as a tribute to Loranna Pyrel, a beloved figure in the RPG community and the creator of Loranna’s RP, a popular online roleplaying forum. Bethesda agreed to let fans create this character almost five months ago, after donations reached $170,000 for charity, and the project is moving forward well.

UESP recently shared that they had a meeting with Bethesda where they were able to help design a character for the upcoming game, The Elder Scrolls 6. They said everyone on their team was initially anxious, but they’re now very enthusiastic about what they’ve seen and what’s to come.

This is exciting news, particularly because updates about The Elder Scrolls 6 are rare. It’s also really touching that a character is being created to honor Loranna.

It’s been seven years since Bethesda first showed a brief teaser for The Elder Scrolls 6 at E3 in 2018. Since then, news about the game has been scarce, with only brief mentions from people like Todd Howard and a reference in an auction. It’s unclear when fans will get more information about the upcoming RPG, but hopefully it will be a worthy successor to the series and honor the experiences of longtime players – particularly one fan named Loranna.
