Bethesda Game Studios ignited excitement among numerous role-playing game enthusiasts with their recent auction to name an NPC in The Elder Scrolls 6. However, after the bid limit reached $85,450, it was a single victor who surfaced from the crowd – unexpectedly, it wasn’t the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages community.
Since 1995, this committed team has been a trusted resource for all things related to Elder Scrolls. It’s only natural that they were among those competing with The Imperial Library and a substantial number of TES content creators to name an NPC in Bethesda’s upcoming RPG. Even though they didn’t emerge victorious, they are eagerly waiting to discover who did win – and they’d be thrilled to know what the successful bidder intends for their Elder Scrolls 6 character.
In a recent post, UESP announced that the silent auction for “The Elder Scrolls VI” closed at a whopping $85,450. Interestingly, our team at UESP, The Imperial Library, and a vast network of TES content creators had been vying for this prize for some time. If you were the lucky winner, we’d love to hear from you! Let us know what unique ideas you have in mind. Additionally, if we had won, our chosen name for the NPC would have been something special, like “The Archivist” or “The Lorekeeper”.
The UESP initially intended to honor Loranna, who sadly passed away recently, by dedicating something to her. They are still eager for this tribute to take place and are exploring alternative ways to make it a reality.
It appears that neither the winning bidder nor the yet-to-be-named NPC have been identified thus far, but it’s important to note that the UESP wasn’t the only notable participant in the auction. YouTube personality “The Spiffing Brit” shared that he was ahead before the website went down, following his efforts to include “Reanu Keeves” in the RPG. At this point, we’re unsure who the NPC will represent – whether a satirical character or an affectionate homage.
