The popular game Elden Ring: Nightreign is still being updated with additional content to maintain player engagement, and we now have details about what’s next. Known as “The Depth of Night,” this new progressive challenge significantly ramps up the game’s difficulty as you delve deeper, and it’s set to arrive soon.
The Deep of Night mode release date for Elden Ring Nightreign

In simpler terms, starting from September 11, Elden Ring Nightreign will introduce a challenging new mode called “Deep of Night.” This mode features five increasingly difficult levels. Notably, it brings several alterations to the original game.
- More difficult enemies the deeper you go.
- Unique Depth Relics that likely alter how your character plays more significantly than standard Relics.
- Special weapons or weapon variants (currently unclear which) that come with additional effects that can be beneficial or detrimental.
- Dynamic difficulty based on your rate of success or failure.
- The inability to choose your Nightlord at the start of an Expedition.
- Active shifting earth is not reflected in the Deep of Night version of Limveld.
Details about The Deep of Night are limited, but it appears that levels 1-3 form the core of the game, leading towards a definitive conclusion, possibly the Nightlord or another significant challenge. Levels 4 and 5 seem to be an ongoing battle, presumably serving as a test of one’s strength and perseverance. Whether there will be any additional changes beyond what’s already planned is uncertain.
