The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, let me tell you that the weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are a game changer! After countless hours spent in the beta, I can confidently say that some guns rise above the rest, and if you’re not using one of these top-tier weapons, you might as well be playing with a rubber chicken.

In the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta, there are twelve weapons to choose from, but some clearly outshine the others. The following five weapons stand out as exceptional, with a few requiring balance adjustments right away. However, other weapons are in a satisfactory state. Let’s dive in

The Best Weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

As a devoted fan, I can’t stress enough how crucial it is to wield at least one of these highlighted guns in Black Ops 6 during the beta, as not doing so might unwittingly put you at a disadvantage – a situation I’d rather avoid! Particularly striking among these top-tier weapons is the Jackal PDW

#1: Jackal PDW

The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

It doesn’t matter what you have equipped, what perks you’re using, or how well you play. If you use the Jackal PDW, you will win more gunfights more easily than with any other weapon in the game. There are a few reasons.

  • It has a consistent, short time to kill
  • It’s easy to control with a predictable recoil pattern
  • Has all the benefits of being an SMG, including fast movement and attachments
  • It outshoot ARs out to medium distance

It seems to me that the Jackal character needs a significant balance adjustment, as it currently resembles the AK-74u from Black Ops 1, which is a major issue in gameplay

#2: XM4

The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

In simpler terms, while the M4A1 and Black Ops 6’s XM4 might share similarities, they aren’t exactly the same in terms of performance as the Jackal PDW. The XM4 comes quite close, though, especially if you can manage its recoil effectively. It excels at dishing out damage over longer distances consistently. Its damage output and recoil control are commendable. However, it doesn’t offer the movement speed or hipfire capabilities that an SMG would. If you’re looking for something that performs better at range, the XM4 could be a good choice for you

#3: C9

The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

No, the C9/MP5 is not the Jackal PDW. It is demonstrably worse than its wonkier-looking cousin in every way that matters, but if you want to use something else (or need to for camo challenges or just a change of pace), it’s still better than most other guns in the game. It has a similar fire rate to the Jackal and performs at about 90% of what the Jackal can do. It does bounce a bit more, but with the right loadout and a slight modification to your playstyle, the C9 can clear whole lobbies with relative ease. Just don’t expect to outshoot the Jackal in a head-to-head every time.

#4: LR 7.62

The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

In Black Ops 6, the LR 7.62 Sniper Rifle shares a resemblance with the L96A1 from the original game but operates similarly to the DSR 50 from Black Ops 2. Essentially, it’s capable of taking down enemies with a single shot from the mid-chest area and up. Compared to the actual shotgun in Black Ops 6, it performs much more effectively. Sniper rifles are user-friendly due to their accuracy even during aim punch (screen movement when getting hit), allowing you to emerge victorious in long-range gunfights even if your opponent gets a bead on you first. To top it off, using the Overkill Wildcard grants you a Jackal PDW as a backup, eliminating any concerns about close-quarter combat entirely

#5: Ames 85

The Best Weapons in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta

The XM4 might take the cake as the best all around assault rifle in BLack Ops 6, the Ames is by far the most accurate. It feels a bit like the MW2 (2009) ACR, though it has some recoil, it’s very easy to control, and if you’ve got good aim (better than mine, anyway), you can laser beam someone from across the map with relative ease. I’ve ranked it a bit lower on this list because its slower fire rate and worse hipfire performance mean it’s more limited in which engagements it excels at. Play it right, however, and there are few better weapons in the game.
