The Alters Has Been Delayed Until Q1 2025
As a seasoned gamer with years of survival game experience under my belt, I must admit that the news about The Alters being delayed until Q1 2025 has left me both disappointed and intrigued. Disappointed because I was eagerly anticipating this unique concept since its announcement, but intrigued due to the developer’s commitment to quality over quantity.
11 Bit Studios has revealed that the sci-fi survival game inspired by ‘This War of Mine’, titled ‘The Alters‘, has been delayed and is now scheduled for release in the upcoming year. In this intriguing game, protagonist Jan Dolski finds himself cohabiting a mobile space base with numerous variations of himself.
11-bit Studios has decided to delay the release of “The Alters” originally scheduled for later this year. This decision comes due to certain issues or flaws identified within the game, as stated by 11-bit President Przemysław Marszal in an announcement on the Polish financial site Bankier (as reported by Gematsu). The development timeline for “The Alters” was particularly tight.
He noted that there was doubt about whether the developers could complete all the tasks we anticipate within the given timeframe. “Given our decades-long experience in development, it’s unwarranted for us to take the chance that the game may have any flaws,” he concluded.
Starting Q1 2025, you’ll find The Alters on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. It will be accessible right from the start through Xbox Game Pass.
