Bec Zacharia caused a stir at Sunday’s Married At First Sight reunion when she revealed that Stephanie Marshall had been messaging Danny Hewitt, her husband on the show.

Just a day before, the two brides were photographed sharing a heartfelt moment at Sydney Airport, appearing happy and in good spirits.

Stephanie, age 32, returned home after leaving the show following a difficult connection with Tyson Gordon. She looked stylish in a maroon leather mini dress as she arrived at the airport.

Stephanie’s face lit up when she saw Bec, and she rushed forward to hug the bride, who has been the subject of some controversy.

Dressed in a brown crochet halter top and blue jeans, Bec responded with a warm hug.

Okay, so after they left, I saw them totally engrossed in conversation with Rachel – it was SO cute! Then, they hopped into a car that was waiting for them, and honestly, I nearly lost it. I was trying to get a better look, obviously, but still! It was just… everything!

Bec later told people she found out her new husband was texting Stephanie shortly after they first met at the airport.

During the reunion, Bec shared with the group that Stephanie had shown her the messages Danny sent to her, all while the cast listened.

Okay, so I was scrolling, right? And I found out she messaged him first! Can you believe it? She just casually dropped that she’d been to Hamilton Island, and he immediately asked for photos. Like, of course he did! And she sent four! Three of the ocean – seriously, the ocean?! – and then… one of her in a bikini. I swear, I nearly died. It’s just… everything. I’ve screenshotted it all, obviously. I need to analyze this. It’s crucial.

His final voice message said he’d made lifelong friends through the experience, but he didn’t want to dwell on it ending – he needed to stay positive and keep moving forward.

She responded with a voice message, simply saying it was lovely to hear from him, and he sent back two heart emojis.

Bec mentioned that Steph had requested she not discuss it at the reunion. However, Bec briefly touched on the subject while they were having drinks, and it seemed they had both moved past what happened.

However, speaking to producers, Steph had some harsh words for Bec.

Steph told producers she wasn’t going to discuss the issue any further, adding that she didn’t care about it and considered it unimportant. She bluntly stated she wasn’t responsible for dealing with it.

Bec wasted no time in bringing up the messages with her former groom over dinner.

While they were getting settled, Danny asked Bec to sit beside him. She playfully responded, ‘Are you positive you wouldn’t rather have Steph here, sending hearts and voice messages?’

Steph later explained her relationship with Danny, saying they’d become close after the show because they both worked in the same field.

This infuriated Bec, who asked why she was messaging Danny in the first place.

I was completely overwhelmed and couldn’t even get out of bed, and Steph was on the phone telling me what a terrible person he was. But then, just a week later, you disappeared but were secretly in contact with my ex-husband. I just don’t understand why.

Steph replied with a shrug of her shoulders and a flippant, ‘Okay, that’s how you feel about it.’

Bec angrily confronted Steph, accusing her of contacting Bec’s ex-husband. She expressed feeling betrayed, pointing out that Steph was supposedly a friend, yet was both complaining about him and sending him revealing photos while also speaking to him on the phone.

‘Who do you think you are?’ she spat.

Honestly, watching Bec lately has been tough. All the things she’d been holding in finally exploded, and she just kept attacking both Steph and Danny. It was like everything that had been bothering her throughout the whole series just came pouring out in those criticisms.

‘You are a dog, and so is she,’ Bec raged.
