Thanks, Sony: Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 leaked on PlayStation, fan-favorite monster Lagiacrus brings a friend as Capcom gets pummeled for longstanding issues

As a passionate gamer, I’m eagerly awaiting the next major update for Monster Hunter Wilds, which is right around the corner according to the game’s roadmap. Capcom has promised to unveil more details about this exciting development during their showcase later this week. However, it seems that Sony might have prematurely spilled the beans on what we can expect!

Despite facing some challenges on PC, particularly in Steam reviews due to performance issues, Capcom continues to develop updates for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. This week, Capcom will host a Capcom Spotlight stream featuring Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, Resident Evil Re:Verse, Project Pragmata, and Street Fighter 6. During this stream, we can expect to learn more about the next title update for Iceborne. However, ahead of the official announcement, Sony has revealed some new details on the PlayStation Store.

Spoilers for Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 follow.

It’s hinted that after a seven-year absence, Lagiacrus is set to make a comeback in Monster Hunter Wilds. Interestingly, the announcement suggests that not just Lagiacrus, but two much-loved monsters are making a return. This implies that alongside Lagiacrus, another monster yet to be revealed will also join the game.

Additionally, you can expect a new battle against Arch-Tempered Uth Duna in the game, along with some enhanced weapons, special event quests, and numerous cosmetic DLC items available for purchase. According to the PS Store, this update will be released on June 30, so mark your calendars – we’ll be able to confront that massive sea creature once more in just a week!
