Terri Irwin stuns fans with sweet throwback photo of late husband Steve and their children celebrating Easter

Terri Irwin shared a heartwarming old photo celebrating Easter with her late husband, Steve, and their children, getting everyone in the holiday spirit.

The 61-year-old TV personality shared a rare photo on Easter Sunday. It showed her and Steve with their young children, Bindi and Robert, and all four of them were wearing Easter bunny ears.

In a sweet photo from 2004, Steve looked incredibly happy as he held his daughter Bindi. His wife, Terri, lovingly held their newborn son, Robert.

Everyone was wearing their signature khakis in the lovely photo, and Terri shared a heartfelt caption: ‘Easter memories. So much love.’

‘Please, please please re-create this photograph this year!’ one person quipped.

‘Such a beautiful shot of your family,’ a second added.

‘Robert still just as cute and Bindi looks exactly the same,’ a third chimed in.

This follows a recent, heartfelt interview with Anderson Cooper, during which Steve’s son, Robert, struggled to hold back tears.

Twenty-two-year-old Wildlife Warrior spoke with a longtime American broadcaster on his podcast, ‘All There Is,’ about coping with the loss of his father.

In 2006, Steve Irwin, known as ‘The Crocodile Hunter,’ tragically died at the age of 44. He was filming a wildlife documentary off the coast of Queensland, Australia, when he was fatally injured by a stingray’s barb to the chest.

Throughout the long interview, Robert clearly became upset when Anderson asked about his relationship with his father and whether they still talked.

‘Yeah, there are… there are moments where…’ Robert began before choking up.

Anderson replied: ‘If it’s too personal, it’s fine.’

Pushing on, Robert revealed that he feels closest to his father when he is by himself in nature.

He explained that he feels most connected to his father when they’re in remote, natural settings, like the countryside or wilderness. He often finds these moments when they’re far from everything else.

Sometimes I feel a sudden wave of warmth, like being wrapped in a comforting embrace.

He then revealed the heartbreaking question that he asks Steve in those private moments.

‘I will absolutely sit and just say: “How do I go forward”, you know? How do you move forward?’

You know, Robert shared something really personal with me. He said that even though he thinks about his dad all the time, it’s when he’s by himself that he truly finds peace and release. It’s in those quiet moments that he really processes everything, and it’s incredibly moving to hear him talk about it.

Steve Irwin passed away on September 4, 2006, after being fatally injured by a stingray barb while filming in the Great Barrier Reef alongside Philippe Cousteau Jr.

A private funeral for Steve was held on September 9th, and he was buried at Australia Zoo later that day in a private ceremony.

A memorial service open to the public took place at the Australia Zoo’s Crocoseum, which seats 5,500 people, on September 30th. The event was broadcast live and watched by an estimated 300 million people worldwide.
