Fans of the show Taskmaster are excited about the upcoming season, as Alex Horne has hinted at something completely new happening. The show, which airs on Channel 4, recently announced its new contestants, including American comedian Kumail Nanjiani, who will be joining the fun.
The show’s creator has shared that a specific scene featuring the Marvel star will be a major turning point for the series.
There’s a funny scene with Kumail Nanjiani,” he shared with RadioTimes.com. “I don’t want to spoil it, but it reveals quite a bit about his private activities when he’s alone in his hotel room. You’ll have to watch to find out what happens!”

He unexpectedly opened up, and I happened to be right there with him – it was a truly unique and unforgettable moment on Taskmaster, something we’d never seen before.
We certainly can’t wait to see.
Kumail Nanjiani will be joined in the new season by Joanna Page from Gavin & Stacey, Armando Iannucci of The Thick of It and Veep, Joel Dommett known from The Masked Singer, and comedian Amy Gledhill.
Horne joked about the skill of some of the contestants, singling out Iannucci as a particular surprise – though not the kind of surprise people might assume.
He’s known as a brilliant comedian, so you’d expect him to be quick-witted. But on Taskmaster, he proved to be surprisingly clueless, which the host jokingly found refreshing to see.
He initially seemed intimidating, both to meet and collaborate with, but you quickly discover he’s just a regular person. Like anyone else, he struggles when things get stressful.
The panel also includes Kumail Nanjiani, known from his film work, Joel Dommett, who hosts The Masked Singer, the incredibly talented Amy Gledhill, and Joanna Page, famous for her role in Gavin & Stacey.
Taskmaster will return with season 21 soon, airing and streaming on Channel 4.
