Take the Black: A first-time Game of Thrones viewer explains why season 8 is good, actually

As a seasoned movie buff with over three decades of binge-watching under my belt, I must say that stepping into Dan’s shoes for this week’s Take The Black Podcast was an exhilarating experience. But let me tell you, trying to fill the dragon-sized hole left by his absence was no easy feat!

Time once again for a fresh installment of “Take the Black,” our engaging weekly discussion series centered around the critical matters shaping human existence, our destiny, and our lasting impact. Specifically, we delve into: “Game of Thrones” and other captivating realms of fantasy and science fiction!

This week, our usual host Dan Selcke was absent, embarking on an undisclosed journey that we’ll learn more about soon. Taking his place was Cody Schultz, Fansided Entertainment and Lifestyle Director, who filled in as a temporary host – quite fitting as he had just completed watching “Game of Thrones” for the first time!

Cody expressed numerous thoughts on the show, considering it freshly as a new viewer without the emotional ties or book connections that many viewers had when it originally aired. Was the series finale to his liking? Which characters did he prefer? Which scenes did he anticipate due to prior knowledge, and which left him astonished? Discover his reactions by watching the episode right here:
