The Mizuno x Setsumasa Kobayashi Wave Prophecy Ring Moc is available in Brown/Off-White and Black/Light Gray colorways. It has SKU numbers D1GD261901 and D1GD261902, and retails for ¥35,200 JPY (approximately $220 USD). It was released on June 19th and is available at Mizuno and Mountain Research.
Mizuno has now released official images and information about their Wave Prophecy Moc Ring, which was previously previewed. Officially called the Wave Prophecy Ring Moc Setsumasa Kobayashi, the shoe blends the comfort of a moccasin with the layered design style of Setsumasa Kobayashi, owner of Mountain Research.
These shoes come in brown and black. They’re made with a suede upper and leather accents, with visible stitching that highlights their handmade quality. A striking metallic ring-strap secures the shoe across the midfoot, giving it a unique look. The Mizuno logo is subtly placed on the tongue and heel, letting the sculpted sole – the Wave Prophecy unit – stand out. The use of muted browns and greys emphasizes the shoe’s crafted feel, while the bold sole gives it a modern, futuristic vibe.
