Superman star Brandon Routh and She’s All That icon Rachael Leigh Cook make debut as couple

Brandon Routh and Rachael Leigh Cook have made their romance red carpet official.

Brandon Routh, known for his role in Superman Returns, and Rachael Leigh Cook, who starred in She’s All That, both age 46, were at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s annual Oscar viewing party on Sunday.

Routh looked sharp in a classic black suit with a white shirt and black tie, and he seemed very comfortable with his girlfriend, whom he’s been dating for over a year.

Cook was gorgeous in a strapless pastel blue gown with a floral pattern throughout.

Her softly highlighted, shoulder length brunette locks were loose and styled in a side part.

And the former Josie and the Pussycats star carried a lavender handbag with a sheen finish.

Last July the rom-com star stepped out with Routh as they enjoyed a date night in LA.

The couple quietly attended the Los Angeles Special Screening of Slanted earlier this month. 

We don’t know exactly when they started dating, but they were seen together at the HomeGrown restaurant in Des Moines, Iowa, last February.

The eatery shared a snap of the actors on Instagram, showing them posing with staff members.

Fans were thrilled when Superman—and Des Moines native Brandon Routh—visited Crescent for a quick fuel stop. He was on his way to continue fighting for truth and justice, and spreading kindness along the way!

Rachael Cook and Daniel Gillies married in 2004 and separated in 2019, ultimately divorcing in 2021. They share two children: a 12-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and an 11-year-old son, Theodore.

Chad Michael Murray and Courtney Ford were married from 2007 to January 2025, when they announced their separation. They have a 13-year-old son named Leo.

After her divorce, Cook shared that she’s still open to the possibility of getting married again someday.

She told People magazine in 2022 that she’s a hopeless romantic – maybe even a bit too much so. She’s definitely open to falling in love again.

She explained that while she’s now a mom, she’s not ruling anything out, but will definitely think things through more carefully because of her children.

As to whether she would expand her family with more kids, the actress said she’s not sure.

She explained that she needs to be aware of her impulsive nature and make choices carefully, fully understanding the potential consequences.
