- Clan Wars replay shows a different result in Clash of Clans because of a bug.
- Supercell has confirmed this and working on a fix.
During Clan Wars in Clash of Clans, every star earned is crucial. Recently, players have discovered a frustrating bug in the war replay system. Sometimes, an attack will register as a 100% victory, awarding three stars, but when other clan members watch the replay, it shows the attack actually failed to earn those stars. This discrepancy is causing confusion and frustration for players.
Many players are reporting an issue with Clan Wars, and Supercell has confirmed it’s a synchronization bug. You’re not the only one experiencing this problem.
What exactly is this Clash of Clans Clan War replay bug
The bug causes a discrepancy between the actual battle and the recorded replay.
Clash of Clans replays don’t actually save a video of your attacks. They record what you tapped on and where you placed your troops, then recreate the battle when someone watches it. Right now, this recreation isn’t working correctly, causing replays to show different results than what originally happened in the game.
Clash of Clans announced on their official X (formerly Twitter) account that the current problem is related to temporary power-ups.
Hi there!
We’re looking into a problem where replays – both current and saved – sometimes display the wrong outcome of a battle. This can occur when players use boosts from Power Potions or Power Pancakes on their Troops, or boosted Equipment from Mighty Morsel during an attack. Rest assured, the actual result is…

The bug is triggered when players use:
- Power Potions (to boost troop levels)
- Power Pancakes (Event-specific boosts)
- Mighty Morsels (to boost Hero Equipment levels)
The replay system isn’t correctly showing the benefits of temporary stat boosts. Even though your attack was stronger because of the extra health and damage, the replay shows your units with their original stats, making them appear to die sooner than they really did.
So, should you be worried? The short answer is: No, but it’s confusing.
Supercell has confirmed that the War Map, Battle Log, and the number of stars earned are all displaying correctly. If you see a 3-star victory on your screen, your clan has officially received those war stars. The only issue currently is with the visual replays – they aren’t working as expected.
This situation has caused some confusion in our clan chat, with leaders wondering how a failed attack replay showed a three-star victory on the map. I admit, I’ve done it too – as a leader, I’ve intentionally re-attacked a base to get three stars and avoid that confusion.
Supercell is working on a fix for the Clash of Clans Clan War replay bug
Supercell knows about the problem and is working to fix it. Since the issue involves complex calculations within the game, they’ll probably need to release an update or temporarily take the game offline for maintenance.
During this event, if you notice any differences between what you see in a replay and what’s shown on the War Map, always rely on the War Map. The replay isn’t accurate.
