In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the second area, Kuttenberg, offers a wealth of additional activities. Upon finishing Speak of the Devil, you are free to roam and engage in various tasks at your leisure. One noteworthy quest to initiate is Striped Tonies, which can be undertaken following the completion of Yankers ‘n’ Flash.

As a dedicated fan, I’ll walk you through an exciting quest: the Striped Tonies mission! Kick things off by chatting with Foreman Valch at the Black Horse Tavern – that’s your starting point. At first glance, the tasks may appear simple, but don’t be fooled; they soon become intricate and challenging. There’s even a hidden countdown involved! So sit tight and let me help you conquer Striped Tonies with ease.

How To Start Striped Tonies

After finishing Yanker ‘n’ Flash, you can begin Striped Tonies. However, wait until the evening and have a conversation with Valch at the Black Horse Tavern. Following this chat, fast-forward time approximately to 8pm and move towards Hoprink Church instead.

This is a time-sensitive quest, so complete every objective as quickly as possible.

Keep in mind that the quest won’t succeed if you linger until midnight. By 8pm, it’s probable that miners would have arrived, unless they delay slightly. Approach them once they’re present and engage in conversation.

Accompanying The Miners

Now, you’ll be joining the miners. They’ll halt once they reach the church. Upon arrival, engage Anton in conversation and he’ll propose something. Opt for: “I’m seeking revenge against Preng,” and the subsequent task will commence.

1. Using the coordinates provided on your map, navigate your way to the location of the Saints’ tavern.

2. Enter the tavern through its entrance.

3. Climb the stairs inside the tavern.

4. Once you reach the top, open the door located on your right-hand side. (Note: Proceed cautiously since you will be entering a private area.)

5. After entering the room, locate the door on your right and pick the lock to open it. (This should not be too difficult.)

6. With the door now open, move towards the ladder on your right-hand side and ascend it.

I’d certainly be mindful not to let things go awry, for the innkeeper trusts me enough to rest in his very own bed. A slight disturbance from my attempts to unlock the door could easily rouse him from his sleep.

When you reach the peak, you’ll spot a window up ahead. Interact with it to hang your breeches, which will also earn you the Under a Brown Flag trophy. Later, rejoin Franzi and Anton, have a chat with them, and they’ll propose going for a drink. Agreeing to their proposition increases your reputation; if you decline, they’ll still proceed with their plans.

Engage with them, and before long, a debate with the Saints will ensue, potentially escalating into a physical altercation. Your primary objective should be on Preng. Overpower him first, then turn your attention to the rest. Preng is the most powerful of our adversaries, however, he shouldn’t pose too great a challenge.

Pick Up The Gift For Tess

After wrapping up the brawl, feel free to chat with Anton at the local tavern. Alternatively, you could simply trail him there. Upon arrival, Anton will task you with procuring gifts for his ladylove, Tess. Since you can’t refuse such a request, first use your map to guide you to the flower patch and collect the blooms.

As a fan, I find myself standing before an obstacle: a tough lock to the south or a wall to the north, which seems more accessible for a climb. If your thieving abilities are up to par, you can bypass it by picking that lock and entering. But fret not if you lack those skills, because you can always hoist yourself over the wall using some nearby barrels as stepping stones instead.

Be mindful of hiding, as both a dog and a napping gardener might spot you in this vicinity. The blooms you seek are centrally located within the garden. Go ahead and snatch the bouquet and use the barrels strategically placed nearby to scale the wall towards the south.

Next, proceed to enter the shoe-maker’s shop and engage in conversation with Else. To obtain the perfume, you’ll first need to successfully pass an Alchemy test, but if your skill level is insufficient, opt for the alternative approach instead. Subsequently, you may encounter two more tests related to your Alchemy proficiency, however, both will be quite challenging. Opt for the one where you have a higher skill level to secure the perfume.

If you don’t pass the skill test, you won’t obtain the perfume, but it doesn’t matter for finishing the task at hand. Now, return to Frenzi and present him with the gifts. If you manage to give him both presents, he will reward you with 175 Groschen. Following that, agree to assist again to progress in the quest.

Carry Anton To The Last Church

Lift Anton off the ground and transport him to the nearest church. Accompany Franzi to the destination, and once there, consent to swear the oath on Anton’s behalf. The choices given will be time-limited, so you’ll need to select the correct ones promptly.

The following are the right options:

  • “We swear before God, that we will open the shafts without malice and mine the vein honestly according to the law of God.”
  • “We vow to work hard, listen to the foreman and duly hand over the ore.”
  • “We swear to not mine silver on the feast day and give a few groschen to the church.”

If you choose more than one wrong answer, the priest will get angry.
