Darrell Sheets, known for his appearances on the TV show “Storage Wars,” passed away on Wednesday in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was 67 years old.

According to a police report obtained by Variety, actor Sheets died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police were called to his home on Chandler Drive around 2 a.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a death.

When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s detectives were called in to investigate.

They said the body was handed over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office so they could continue looking into what happened. I’m hoping they can find some answers soon.

I was a huge fan of “Storage Wars,” and Darrell Sheets was always one of my favorites! He was on the show for 15 seasons, from 2010 to 2023, and it was so fun watching him with his son, Brandon. They really seemed like the heart of the show to me. Darrell wasn’t exactly subtle when he was bidding, but he always went after lockers he thought had something amazing inside – he called it the ‘wow factor’! It was always exciting to see what he’d find.

He explained that he’s a professional buyer with a passion for storage sheds – he even calls it an addiction. His strategy on the show is simple: find the best items and leave quickly.

I was reading about Dave Sheets, and apparently he’s a huge antiques buff who always talked about owning four Picassos and an incredibly valuable comic book collection – all found at storage auctions! He even told The Times back in 2015 about one locker he bought that contained original artwork by Frank Gutierrez. He said it appraised for around $300,000, which was the biggest find anyone had made on the show up to that point – they’d been filming for five years already!

He didn’t just express his sadness, but also called out people online who were being cruel, which I think is really important.

Darrell and I were actually good friends, even though we didn’t talk constantly. He was an incredibly dedicated worker and a very caring person, especially when it came to his family – his son and granddaughter, Zoie, meant everything to him.

Nezhoda said that Sheets had someone “really, really tormenting” him on social media.

The former “Storage Wars” star also spoke out against online bullying, reminding people that just because they see someone on TV doesn’t mean they know what that person is going through. She emphasized that everyone faces their own private struggles.
