Static-X has canceled its upcoming summer tour dates. The band announced on Instagram that a member is dealing with a serious health problem, forcing them to cancel the shows.
The situation needed help right away. We aren’t mentioning who in the Static-X group experienced the health issue, and for good reason. While the band is known for its music, this is a personal matter. Some things are best kept private.
The Instagram post explained that the current circumstances are unavoidable and need to be addressed right away. They apologized for any disruption and assured fans they plan to return to performing in 2027, with an even better show.

They reassured everyone, saying, “Don’t worry about us, we’ll be okay. We’re just older guys who need a little maintenance now and then.”
Actually, the band members aren’t old at all – they’re all in their early 50s. That’s what makes this health issue so unexpected, and potentially serious. We’re hoping it won’t have lasting consequences and that they’ll be able to get back to performing for their fans soon.
Another encouraging sign is that Static-X is aiming to return in 2027. While plans can often change, we’re hoping they’ll be able to make it happen, which would be great for everyone involved and a positive step for their well-being.
The band, originally from Los Angeles, released their first album, Wisconsin Death Trip, in 1999. To celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025, they put out a special limited-edition box set. Their most recent studio album is Project: Regeneration Vol. 2, which came out in 2024.
I’ve been a Static-X fan for ages, and they’ve put out eight studio albums now. Their biggest hit, in my opinion, was Machine back in 2001 – it actually hit number 11 on the Billboard charts, which was awesome! It’s a little strange though, considering how incredible they are in concert, they’ve only released one live album. I wish they’d give us more!
Fans are hoping Static-X announces new tour dates sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. Beyond the excitement for fans, this would signal that all the band members are well enough to return to touring.
