Star Trek: Strange New Worlds unveils a new sizzle reel teasing what more is to come in season 4.
The fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds recently launched on Paramount+ with a captivating time-travel story that dramatically altered the course of Earth, Mars, and human civilization. The season aims to recapture the spirit of classic Star Trek with standalone adventures, but also features ambitious and unusual episodes, like one told entirely through puppets.
During Paramount+’s Star Trek panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds executive producer Akiva Goldsman shared a short teaser revealing highlights of what’s coming in season 4, including new scenes with Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the USS Enterprise. You can watch the teaser here:
Recently, episode titles were announced for all ten episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4. This season will be the last with the traditional ten-episode format. The fifth and final season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, slated to debut on Paramount+ next year, will have only six episodes and conclude Captain Pike’s time leading the Enterprise.
After kicking off season 4 with time travel and dinosaurs – a nod to Jurassic Park – Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will explore entirely new territory this season. Expect an hour of intense horror, a film-noir episode reminiscent of Casablanca, a lighthearted comedy during the crew’s shore leave, and even an episode featuring puppets created by The Jim Henson Company.
I’m so excited for the second half of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4! We’re going to see more of Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk, and it’s amazing watching him develop into the Captain we all know he will become. Plus, the final episode is called “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” which sounds like it could connect Strange New Worlds with what happens to the ship later on – I can hardly wait!
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 premieres new episodes Thursdays on Paramount+.
