But they won’t be the only talented creators involved – over a dozen artists and writers will contribute to the issue overall. Notably, Dan Slott and Marcos Martín will team up to create a unique story pairing the original Superman with Spider-Man Noir, set in a compelling historical period.
What To Expect From Superman and Spider-Man’s Upcoming Crossovers
Geoff Johns and Gary Frank will be crafting a story featuring both the Superman and Spider-Man families. Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman are contributing a tale where a swarm of symbiotes invades Metropolis. Plus, Louise Jones Simonson is revisiting her famous character, Steel (John Henry Irons), teaming up with Todd Nauck for a story that pits the Hobgoblin against another of Metropolis’s heroes.
Readers can look forward to a surprising story focusing on Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang, two popular characters who deserve even more recognition. Gwen will also share the spotlight with Supergirl, illustrated by Phil Noto. Plus, creative teams consisting of Brian Michael Bendis & Sara Pichelli, and Jeph Loeb & Jim Cheung, will each explore the world of Earth-7642 with their own tales featuring this dynamic duo.
Before the new Spider-Man/Superman #1 comic comes out in June, readers can enjoy a special preview issue on March 25th. These one-time team-up comics follow similar crossovers that started last year with Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool. Even more exciting, these releases celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first official DC and Marvel team-up – 1976’s Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century.
Spider-Man/Superman #1 from Marvel and DC Comics goes on sale this June.
