Fans are getting their first glimpse of Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider series on Prime Video, thanks to recently released set videos and photos showing her performing exciting action stunts.

Filming is happening now in Surrey, England. Game of Thrones actor [actor’s name, if known] has been seen practicing impressive gunfights with two pistols and doing difficult stunts, showing they’ve spent months preparing for the role.
New videos from the set of Sophie Turner’s upcoming Lara Croft series, captured by Daily Mail, give fans the best look yet at the show. The footage shows Turner as Lara Croft firing her signature dual pistols and throwing a grenade through a window – a move directly inspired by the video games.
The video also shows a nostalgic moment for longtime fans: Lara Croft expertly using a variety of techniques to manage groups of enemies. This gameplay feels familiar, drawing on elements from the entire 30-year history of the series. Notably, Lara’s use of dual pistols is a highlight, as the newer ‘Survivor Trilogy’ games featured them much less prominently.
Photos from the Tomb Raider set show Alicia Vikander’s new look for Lara Croft. Instead of the classic tank top and shorts, she’s wearing a more practical outfit: khaki cargo pants, a brown sweater with a blue vest, and a brown belt to hold equipment.
She finished her outfit with black knee-high boots, a knife at her hip, and a small backpack. Her long hair was neatly braided, completing the practical, adventurous look.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of Fleabag, wrote, created, and executive produced this project. The cast also features Sigourney Weaver, known for her role in Alien, Jason Isaacs from The White Lotus, and Celia Imrie, who appears on Celebrity Traitors.
Sophie Turner is taking on the role of Lara Croft, a character previously portrayed by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in movies. A release date for the new film hasn’t been revealed yet.
