Snow Peak‘s Micro Hozuki is a tiny, yet durable LED lantern that blends outdoor practicality with stylish design. At just $15, this cherry-sized light weighs only five grams and is less than an inch wide, making it a perfect addition to anyone’s everyday gear. Built to withstand rain and snow, it carries on Snow Peak’s tradition of reliable, weather-resistant Hozuki lanterns while fitting seamlessly into the popular ‘gorpcore’ aesthetic.
This small light proves you don’t need a bulky device to get powerful performance. It has three settings: high brightness, low brightness, and a flashing strobe for emergencies. At its brightest, it emits a warm white light and produces 27 lumens – that’s about two to three times brighter than a typical candle. This makes it great for lighting up a small area or providing a gentle nightlight inside a tent. The light is built to last, using a strong combination of ABS plastic, polycarbonate, and silicone rubber to withstand impacts and hold up in various conditions.
I’m really excited about how portable this new version is! Snow Peak added a cool stainless steel ring, so I can easily clip it onto my backpack, carabiner, or even my vest. It’s powered by two coin batteries, which keeps it super lightweight without sacrificing battery life. I can get two hours of bright light on the highest setting, but if I switch to the low setting, it lasts for an amazing 31 hours! That’s perfect for longer trips where I won’t have access to charging.
Okay, so this company that’s always made awesome outdoor gear just dropped something really cool. They took a classic camping lantern and shrunk it down to fit in my pocket! It’s perfect for everything – whether I’m hiking in the mountains or just walking home from work at night. It feels like more and more people are realizing you don’t have to be in the wilderness to appreciate solid, dependable gear. Now I can always have a good light source with me, no matter what.
The Micro Hozuki is available now via Snow Peak.
