Sinners star Jack O’Connell shocks the Oscars as he arrives on the red carpet with blood-stained vampire fangs

Sinners star Jack O’Connell shocked the Oscas red carpet as he arrived wearing vampire fangs.

The 35-year-old actor plays Remmick, a centuries-old Irish vampire who haunts a small town in Mississippi during the year 1932, in a new movie that has received an impressive 16 award nominations.

Referencing his violent character, Jack arrived at the red carpet event sporting a pair of vampire teeth covered in fake blood.

He completed his look with a bold accessory and a classic black and white tuxedo, consisting of a white jacket and black pants.

He finished his outfit with black sunglasses and a black and white embroidered pocket square.

The 98th Academy Awards will honor the top movies of 2025 at a glamorous ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Conan O’Brien, age 62, will host the show again this year, marking his second year in a row. He originally took over hosting duties from Jimmy Kimmel.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always excited to see artistry recognized, and this year, Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners’ is making history! It’s absolutely leading the charge with an incredible 16 Academy Award nominations – the most any film has ever received. It’s a truly remarkable achievement and a testament to the film’s impact.

The scary movie is nominated for Best Picture, along with nine other films: Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and Train Dreams.

As a huge Michael B. Jordan fan, I’m so excited he’s nominated for Best Actor for his role in ‘Sinners’! But wow, the competition is tough this year. He’s up against some incredible actors – Timothée Chalamet in ‘Marty Supreme,’ the legendary Leonardo DiCaprio with ‘One Battle After Another,’ Ethan Hawke in ‘Blue Moon,’ and Wagner Moura from ‘The Secret Agent.’ It’s going to be a close race, but I’m definitely rooting for Michael B. Jordan!

Sinners is a supernatural thriller set in 1930s Mississippi. It centers on twin brothers, both portrayed by the same actor, Jordan, who come home to discover a terrifying evil has taken root in their hometown.

The competition for Best Actor is incredibly tight right now. Timothée Chalamet was the frontrunner early on, winning both the Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice awards. However, Michael Jordan’s win at the Actor Awards—previously known as the SAG Awards—has created a real shift in momentum.

The event is happening shortly after Timothée Chalamet made comments that were criticized by many in the arts world. He had suggested people aren’t interested in ballet or opera, and this caused a strong negative reaction.

Josh Safdie’s film, Marty Supreme, tells the story of Marty Reisman, a talented young ping-pong player in 1950s New York. Starring Timothée Chalamet, the movie follows his pursuit of a world championship and how it strains his relationships with the people around him.

Jessie Buckley, the Irish actress, is currently the favorite to win Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet. She’s up against strong competition from Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I would Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia).

Directed by Chloe Zhao, who won Best Director in 2021, Hamnet offers a new look at William Shakespeare’s personal life. The film explores how the loss of his eleven-year-old son deeply affected him and inspired his famous play, Hamlet.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another earned 13 nominations.

The film received several nominations, including Best Director, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, and Best Supporting Actor nods for both Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn.

I’m so excited about this movie! It’s about a former revolutionary, played by DiCaprio, who’s been living a quiet life in hiding. But everything changes when his old enemy – a really nasty, corrupt military officer, played by Penn – goes after his daughter. He’s forced to come out of hiding and fight to save her, and it’s going to be a wild, darkly funny ride!

Joining Penn and del Toro as nominees for Best Supporting Actor are Jacob Elordi for his role in Frankenstein, Delroy Lindo from Sinners, and Stellan Skarsgard in Sentimental Value.
