Okay, so I just stumbled across this BBC drama called Care on Netflix, and it’s seriously good! It stars Sheridan Smith and Alison Steadman, and I’m kinda surprised I hadn’t heard of it before. Apparently it first came out in 2018, but it’s just hit the top 3 most-watched shows on Netflix UK right now. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something to watch!
The drama Care was created by Jimmy McGovern of The Times, and he wrote the script with Gillian Juckes. It stars Steadman (known from Gavin and Stacey) as Mary, a grandmother who provides childcare for her daughter Jenny (Smith), a single mother, allowing Jenny to work full-time.

But after Mary suffers a stroke and develops dementia, Jenny becomes her primary caregiver.
The story follows Jenny, a single mother raising two daughters, whose life becomes increasingly difficult when her mother suffers a stroke and she faces challenges navigating the healthcare system.
The movie Care has a rating of 7.1 on IMDb, and audiences are enjoying both its story and the acting.
