The popular sports comedy Running Point, featuring Kate Hudson and Brenda Song, is now trending higher on Netflix UK after the premiere of its second season.
In the show, Hudson plays Isla Gordon, a woman trying to turn her life around. Her family gives her an incredible opportunity: running a basketball team in Los Angeles. However, she quickly discovers it’s much harder than she expected.
The show’s second season premiered last month on April 23rd, and early viewership numbers suggest it’s been a hit with audiences after its initial release in 2025.

According to FlixPatrol, the comedy is currently the second most popular show on the streaming platform globally, trailing only Unchosen. While it’s not as big of a hit in the UK, it still ranks at Number Five there.
Critics have generally praised Running Point, giving it an overall approval rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes across its two seasons. Season one received a score of 79%, and season two was even better, earning an 89% rating.
