Sex And The City’s Kim Cattrall, 69, trades New York haute couture for Debenhams as she fronts new campaign

She made her name on Sex and the City as a fearless New York fashionista.

On HBO’s show, Kim Cattrall, as the self-assured and sexually confident Samantha Jones, was known for her glamorous wardrobe, frequently appearing in designer clothes from brands like Chanel and Fendi.

There were power suits, fur coats and daring dresses in bright colours and luxury fabrics.

The actress still has a great sense of style, but instead of wearing high-end designer clothes from New York, she’s now showcasing a collection for Debenhams.

Kim Cattrall, turning 70 this summer, modeled a see-through floral coat for a campaign promoting the department store, which now operates online.

Kim Cattrall wore a stylish, belted vinyl trench coat costing £100 from designer Ashish. She also chose several floral dresses from the collection, which is inspired by the idea of bringing a garden party look to urban settings and evening events.

Kim Cattrall said she finds the latest Designers at Debenhams collaboration with Ashish to be wonderfully cheerful and uplifting.

It’s definitely glamorous, but also fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. It confidently celebrates femininity and loves a little sparkle.

In December, the actress – who previously declined a part in a Sex and the City spin-off – married Russell Thomas, a 54-year-old BBC sound engineer. They had a small, private wedding at Chelsea Old Town Hall.

In an interview with The Times of London in June 2023, Kim expressed her happiness and gratitude for her relationship, describing it as wonderful.

She praised their ‘nice life,’ which came into focus after their initial meeting at the BBC.

After she was on BBC Radio 4, Russell reached out to her and started following her on Twitter, now known as X.

‘He direct messaged me,’ she told Glamour in 2018. ‘It was very, very modern [and] it’s just been very easy.’

Their relationship became more serious when he traveled to Vancouver, Canada, to visit her.

She explained to People magazine in 2020 that it took courage for him to reach out, as they hadn’t known each other well – they’d only shared a few meals. Thankfully, they connected immediately and have been a couple ever since!

Kim told The Times that while past relationships felt more like immediate reactions, her connection with Thomas developed slowly and naturally over time.

Cattrall explained that her life and the lives of others were very distinct and separate, and she expressed gratitude for the good life she has.
