Gintama Smartphone Battle Chronicle is a role-playing game (RPG) inspired by the popular Gintama manga and anime series created by Hideaki Sorachi. The game is set in the modern Reiwa era and allows players to assemble a team of their favorite characters – including Gintoki, Kagura, and Shinpachi – for quick and exciting battles.

Now feels like the ideal moment to release the game. The new Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames movie is coming out this month, and excitement is already building, particularly after the recent trailer showing Kagura battling Abuto. This will likely make fans even more eager to experience memorable scenes from the anime again.
The game lets you team up your favorite characters, and the cute, simplified battles are easy to pick up and play. I’m especially excited to try out the special moves – they look fantastic! With its unique artwork, recognizable characters, and the signature humor of Gintama, this game seems definitely worth checking out.
The mobile game Gintama Mobile Battle Chronicle will be released in Japan on February 4, 2026, for both Android and iOS. Pre-registration is now available on the Google Play Store and App Store. More information about a worldwide release will be announced soon.
