Jessi Draper, known from the show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, no longer faces legal issues stemming from her ex-husband’s attempt to get a restraining order against her. The court dismissed his request.
Page Six reports that Jordan Ngatikaura, who is separated from Draper, recently requested a temporary restraining order against her, but it has since been rejected.
Court records obtained by The Daily Mail show that Ngatikaura requested a restraining order on March 20th.
The order was also opposed that same day by Draper, according to the documents.
A spokesperson for Draper did not provide a statement to The Daily Mail. Ngatikaura also hasn’t yet responded to a request for comment.
Reports emerged on Thursday that Ngatikaura has filed for divorce from Draper after almost six years of being married.
They separated a year ago after tying the knot in 2020.
Ngatikaura shared with The Sun that making this decision was very difficult and deeply upsetting.
‘I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons,’ he said.
Even though we’re going our separate ways, my children are my main focus. I want to make sure they feel loved and secure during this change, and I’ll always treat this situation with kindness and respect.
In November, she revealed to People magazine that she had experienced emotional abuse during her marriage. They were currently separated for 90 days and attending therapy in an effort to work through their issues.
He also told the website that he fully accepts responsibility for the hurt he inflicted on Jessi while they were married.
This news follows controversy surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul, who also appears on The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives.
Her season of the Bachelorette was canceled last week.
A source told People: ‘All of the men were on the call with Warner Bros. except for the winner.
‘The lawyers told them all their contracts will be in place for a year.’
ABC canceled the scheduled premiere of The Bachelorette after TMZ released a 2023 video showing Frankie, age 31, throwing chairs at her former boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, while her child was present.
The video footage is from an event that happened in 2023. Paul later pleaded guilty to aggravated assault as a result.
The video showing the fight between Paul and her ex-boyfriend has quickly spread online. In it, Paul can be seen getting upset and throwing a chair at Mortensen while her eight-year-old daughter, Indy, was nearby.
Mortensen, who was filming the incident, said in the clip: ‘This is called physical abuse.’
Amidst the ongoing fight between Mortensen and Paul, a child’s cries could be heard. Mortensen then announced that their daughter had been struck in the head by a metal chair.
Paul and his current partner share a two-year-old son named Ever. Paul also has two children, Indy and Ocean, from a previous marriage to Tate.
Following the release of a new video today, Disney Entertainment Television has decided to postpone the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Their priority right now is to support the family involved.
