It seems we now know why Jennifer Affleck was connected to the show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County. The reason for her involvement is no longer a mystery.
Affleck hinted she’ll be on the next installment of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the reality show that made her famous, with a new group of co-stars.
The 25-year-old TikTok creator recently relocated from Salt Lake City, Utah – where the show was originally filmed – to Southern California with her family, leading to rumors she might be joining the cast.
She shut down the speculation by announcing the new Orange County series in a video, with a caption revealing it will be available on Hulu in 2026: ‘@secretlivesonhulu’.
The video features the women and Affleck playfully introducing themselves to the camera, with the introduction set to the tune of the Full House theme song.
Confirming the speculation about her role in the show, she announced on Instagram, ‘The secret is out!’
The show’s new cast, based in California, now features McCall Dapron, who is the sister of Mayci Neeley, a cast member from the original series.
Hulu has announced eight new cast members for the show: Dapron, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, Madison Fisher (formerly Bontempo), and Bobbi Althoff.
I’ve been following Jennifer Affleck’s career closely, and when she moved to Southern California, rumors started flying about a potential spin-off project! Honestly, we weren’t sure if it was true, but now it’s confirmed – she is involved, which I’m so excited about!
People have been wondering if she’ll be on the show ever since she missed the cast announcement event.
Dapron, 36, pointed out that Ben Affleck wasn’t listed among the cast and expressed her wonder as to the reason.
She told Entertainment Tonight at Hulu’s Get Real event on Wednesday that she was surprised not to see her with them at a previous event. She’d heard the person was unwell, but didn’t know any details.
Ovard, age 30, mentioned she also observed that Affleck wasn’t present and hinted an announcement about him would be made shortly.
‘I haven’t seen [Jen] yet,’ she said. ‘I think I will see her soon.’
Just recently, Affleck shared that she’s relocated to Southern California and is getting ready to start a fresh phase of her life.
She posted a TikTok explaining that she and her husband, Zac Affleck, recently moved their family to California, making this her fifth move in just one year.
The show first aired in 2024 and has run for four seasons, featuring popular mom influencers from Utah.
Taylor Frankie Paul, Jessi Draper, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Layla Taylor, and Miranda McWhorter all first appeared on television when they joined the cast of the show.
Okay, so you will NOT believe this! They’re doing a spinoff, but it’s all happening so fast after everything with Taylor Frankie Paul… the drama with the domestic violence accusations, it’s insane! And apparently, they were right there with the cameras, filming everything that happened after. I’m obsessed, I need to know all the details!
