Seafarer’s Boots treasure map solution in Avowed
In the game Avowed, the Seafarer’s Boots treasure map is quite straightforward to find, often stumbled upon by players before they even have the actual map. However, it doesn’t mean you’ve seen everything; there’s still plenty to discover if you haven’t ventured into Shatterscarp’s northwest region yet. This area might not be immediately familiar to you, so you’ll need to explore it to find where the treasure is hidden.
To find the treasure map on your own, head over to Loato’s campsite, located east of Thirdborn’s entrance. You’ll spot it on a fur rug there. It might be tricky to notice, particularly during broad daylight.
Seafarer’s Boots treasure map solution
As a fervent explorer, I stumbled upon an intriguing clue that leads me to believe the coveted Seafarer’s Boots are hidden under a rock archway, pointing northeast from the Sulfur Mines Basecamp within the Deadfall Highlands. The crimson hue on my map serves as a telling sign if you’re familiar with these parts, but even for newcomers like myself, the looming silhouette of Tago’s Tower in the distance offers an unmistakable landmark.
To reach this location:
- From the Deadfall Highlands campsite, head down the hill to the northwest (you’ll see the massive skull of Leviathan’s Hollow on your right)
- Continue towards the rock archway covered in spiderwebs and bones
- Once you reach the archway, turn right to find a skeleton which you can loot to complete the treasure map
Different from many other treasure hunts, Seafarer’s Boots aren’t enclosed within a chest, so you might not initially recognize that you’ve found the correct treasure and completed the quest. Interestingly, there is a chest situated diagonally opposite you across the archway. To gain access to it, you’ll need to clear away the cobwebs first, then dispel any illusions concealing the chest. If you’d like to claim this loot, you may want to enlist Kai and Yatzli’s help. Rest assured, there are only a few upgrade materials and coins inside, so you won’t be missing out on much.
Finishing the Seafarer’s Treasure Map gives you the Wavebinder Boots, which boost your maximum essence by 15 and make you less reactive when struck. This makes them ideal for mages since they reduce interruptions during spells and provide extra mana to experiment with.
