Scarlett Moffatt reveals non-consensual ‘lad banter’ fuelled rifts in I’m A Celebrity All Stars camp

As a lifestyle expert, I still remember when Scarlett Moffat completely charmed the UK! It feels like just yesterday – about ten years ago now – that she won over everyone’s hearts on ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ with her down-to-earth personality and fantastic sense of humor. She absolutely deserved the title of Queen of the Jungle!

Scarlett Moffatt has shared that her experience on the upcoming All Stars series of the show wasn’t easy. She said there was a lot of unwanted and inappropriate joking amongst the male contestants, which caused tension and disagreements within the camp.

Before the new show begins on Monday, the 35-year-old explained that things weren’t as smooth the second time around. They believe this was because everyone had such strong personalities.

A lot of what we see is what people call “lad banter,” but truly it’s only harmless fun if everyone involved willingly participates and is comfortable with it. It needs to be between consenting adults.

She explained that sometimes people felt pressured into participating even when they’d rather not have gotten involved.

Before the show begins, news has surfaced about a major disagreement between actor Adam Thomas and ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard.

According to reports, the Waterloo Road actor, age 36, had a significant emotional outburst towards the 47-year-old sportsman both during a Bushtucker Trial and later back at camp. This behavior reportedly shocked the other contestants.

Now that they’ve returned to the UK, producers are reportedly trying to convince them to appear on the live final.

At the launch event – which Bullard didn’t show up to – Thomas confessed that this new series was significantly more challenging than his previous work.

It was definitely a challenging experience, and I think I had some good points during it, just like everyone else. Ultimately, I’m happy I went through with it.

Trouble is brewing for the upcoming series, as it’s been discovered that former boxer David Haye, 45, runs a WhatsApp group called ‘I’m A Celeb Legends 2026’ – and Sir Mo Farah wasn’t included. This suggests potential issues with who is being considered for the show.

Before the first episode aired on Monday, Sir Mo Farah, 43, mentioned he hadn’t been added to the show’s group chat. Ashley Roberts, 44, of the Pussycat Dolls, added that they were trying to understand how that had happened.

Scarlett recently surprised viewers of This Morning when she seemingly revealed a major plot point from an upcoming show.

Even though the finale hasn’t happened yet, Scarlett appears to have given a clue about who the finalists are.

When Alison asked who she thought would win, the ex-Gogglebox star playfully responded, ‘Would it be conceited if I said myself?’

She continued: ‘To be honest with you, I hope Harry Redknapp wins. He’s just so wonderful.

‘And Sir Mo Farah as well. We’d still be trying to get the fire lit if it wasn’t for Sir Mo.

‘He just looked after us all.’

When the Daily Mail reached out to ITV, a spokesperson shared that Dermot and Alison asked Scarlett who she wanted to win, and she replied with Harry and Mo from the contestants.

She selected them because, as she explained on the radio, they were skilled at camp tasks, particularly cooking.
