Scarlett Moffatt has announced she is pregnant with her second child.
The 35-year-old celebrity, known from I’m A Celeb, announced she’s expecting a baby with her fiancé, Scott Dobinson, in a heartwarming video shared on Monday night.
Scarlett has spoken openly about the difficulties she faced trying to have a baby for four years before finally welcoming her son, Jude, in June 2023.
She shared the wonderful news of her pregnancy, writing: ‘We’re so excited to announce that our family is getting bigger! After everything we’ve been through, we feel incredibly grateful.’
We were so blessed with our sweet Jude, and now we’re thrilled to be adding to our family! He’s going to be a wonderful big brother, and we know he’ll be amazing at it. ❤️
We’re incredibly thankful and thrilled, and honestly, still a bit surprised! We feel more loved and happy than we ever imagined.
The celebrity has always been honest about the challenges she and her family have experienced while trying to have more children.
Scarlett recently shared that she and her fiancé, Scott, were deeply upset and cried throughout an entire day after experiencing a miscarriage in late 2024.
On Friday’s episode of “I’m A Celebrity,” Scarlett revealed to Sinitta that she had suffered a miscarriage, explaining that she and her partner were grieving for the child they had hoped to have.
After Jude was born, we tried for another baby but unfortunately had a miscarriage. It was a really difficult time – I remember Scott’s parents taking Jude for the day so we could just stay in bed and cry.
It’s heartbreaking to think about them running down the stairs together at Christmas. Just picturing it is really difficult and upsetting.
Scarlett shared with the Bush Telegraph that losing a baby is like grieving for the future you pictured, and it’s incredibly heartbreaking.
She was overheard telling Sinitta that they should be thankful for what they have.
Scarlett recently shared that she experienced a miscarriage late last year, after having her son Jude. She explained that they had already told friends and family about the pregnancy and were very happy when it happened.
We’d spent time dreaming about their future – things like racing down the stairs together on Christmas morning as brother and sister. It’s heartbreaking to grieve not just the person who’s gone, but also the life you pictured sharing with them.
Scarlett told The Sun that she was lying in bed with Scott when she realized she couldn’t cope with the emotional pain of their relationship any longer. She suggested they break up, but agreed they should focus on enjoying time with their son, Jude.
It’s truly heartbreaking to witness anyone experience something so difficult. I admire the courage of those who persevere through it, as it can be incredibly damaging to a person’s spirit.
Scarlett had previously discussed the difficult experience of giving birth to her son, Jude, revealing she lost a lot of blood during labor.
She recently shared on the show Loose Women that despite not wanting one in her birth plan, she needed a blood transfusion during childbirth – around one and a half litres of blood.
I was feeling incredibly weak and dizzy, and I remember telling my husband, “Please go with the baby.” Shortly after, we discovered the baby had low blood sugar – hypoglycemia. It was really scary!
His blood sugar was low, and he was jaundiced. I managed to get myself down to the NICU, but Scott told me to go back to bed and rest.
After Jude was born early, Scarlett shared her thanks for Neonatal Intensive Care Units in an Instagram post.
It’s NICU Awareness Month, and I wanted to share a bit about my son, Jude. He was a little surprise, arriving almost a month early at 35 weeks and 5 days – he truly was our miracle baby!
I’ll always be thankful for the incredible care and support we received from the NICU at Durham Hospital, particularly from Helen and Charlotte!
I’m thrilled to be working with WaterWipes on their fifth annual Pure Foundation Fund! It’s a wonderful initiative that lets you show your gratitude to people and teams who provide incredible support to premature babies or those in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Life has been so full lately! I’m thrilled to share that I got engaged to my wonderful partner, Scott, who used to be a police officer. It happened in 2023, just a few months after we welcomed our little boy. We’re now planning our wedding for next year and couldn’t be happier!
