Saylor’s Bitcoin Bonanza? Ready for “B-I-G” Trouble! 😱

Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor is all over social media like a rash in a sensitive area, teasing a “big week.” And what’s that about? More Bitcoin, obviously!

Alright, let’s get this straight: every time Saylor wants to talk Bitcoin, he throws up one of those orange dot charts like it’s game seven of the World Series. This time, he’s gearing up to make one hell of a Bitcoin purchase. The guy said it would be “pleasantly” surprising, as if saying Bitcoin’s a gift that keeps on giving. As an exec delighting in his own puzzling prose, he claimed they are “accelerating” purchases. The man practically lives off Bitcoin, so why would he sell? Oh, maybe the rumor mill? They said he sold, but nah, that’s just fake news.

Now, sure, this upcoming purchase shouldn’t make Bitcoin soar like an eagle on happy pills because we’re talking about a gentle 56% drop for Strategy’s stock. We might even see it nose-dive below $94,000, according to whatever data CoinGecko is trusting these days. You’d think this would jiggle investor confidence a bit-though the kind of confidence you get from watching a reality TV show that everyone agrees is terrible.

Strategy’s rough patch

Strategy, headquartered in the lovely Virginia countryside, is still the king of Bitcoin hoarders. They’ve got 684,412 BTC stashed away. Still, with their shares plummeting faster than an elevator in a funhouse, investors would have a tough time feeling confident in their recent Bitcoin shtick. Apparently, the magic trick Saylor invented isn’t as magical as before.

An awkward metaphor

Oh, and remember when Saylor shared a picture of himself on a lifeboat because he thought AI would save his own sinking ship? Yeah, let’s not even go there. Many took it to mean he’s ready to bail on Bitcoin or the retail investors when the waters get choppy.

Jim Chanos, the ever-awesome short seller, didn’t miss a chance to have a laugh at Saylor’s expense by tweeting “Indeed.” That’s the kind of insider humor I could get used to! Isn’t life just full of delightful ironies?
