Sarah Jessica Parker teases “new men” in And Just Like That season 3

As a long-time fan of Sex and the City who has followed Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte since their Manhattan adventures, I must say I’m beyond excited for the third season of And Just Like That…! The thought of new men joining the cast is intriguing, as it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for these beloved characters.

Sarah Jessica Parker hinted at some aspects of the upcoming third season of “And Just Like That…“, suggesting that new male characters will join the cast.

The HBO series, a continuation of “Sex and the City,” traces the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) as they maneuver through life and friendship in their fifties.

Before the start of its third season, Parker revealed during a talk at the Red Sea Film Festival that the lengthy filming, spanning more than seven months, was due to an expansion of the show’s cast members.

According to Variety, Parker remarked that it’s massive, sturdy, and thrilling. It’s packed with numerous intriguing tales and fresh characters who deserve a proper place. There’s also development with new characters. Carrie has an engaging story arc.

The narrative delves deep with grand concepts, woven into its sweeping arcs. Several familiar male figures reappear, joined by some fresh ones, as she elaborated further on the influence of Sex and the City.

As a gamer, I’ve got to say it was the massive female community, our 10-million-strong crew, who made this show happen. We led them on an unforgettable journey, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have brought a character to life over such a long timespan—almost a quarter of a century!

As Parker playfully interacted with the latest guests, it’s important to note that the upcoming seasons won’t include Sara Ramirez’s character, Che Diaz. This is because her character parted ways with Miranda in the second season, and Nixon provided an explanation for why Ramirez chose to leave the show.

The actor commented on the captivating yet contentious character they developed, stating, ‘It seems they believed this character had reached its peak. They introduced unexpected elements to stir things up, and ultimately, the storyline was concluded.’

Just as expected, the follow-up to “Sex and the City,” titled “And Just Like That,” is now streaming on Max (in the US) and Sky Comedy (in the UK), with NOW also offering it in the UK.
