Samie Elishi posted a new set of photos on Monday from her fun, albeit chaotic, New York trip with fellow single star Olivia Atwood.
The Love Island winner has flown to the United States following reports that she and Ciaran Davies have broken up only three weeks after winning Love Island: All Stars.
According to sources, the relationship ended largely because Ciaran didn’t stay in contact with Samie, and their connection faded as a result.
Samie seems to be moving on from her relationship troubles. She recently joined Love Island friends Toni Laites and Sophie Piper on a trip to New York City to celebrate the launch of Olivia’s new clothing line with River Island.
I saw on Instagram that Samie and Olivia were having a fun night out, enjoying some beers together. It’s great to see Olivia doing well after her split from Bradley earlier this year – she deserves all the happiness!
The celebrity enjoyed exploring the famous city and commemorated the trip with a new tattoo – a lightning bolt on her middle finger.
She captioned the post: ‘Monthly messies NY edition.’
A source revealed on Monday that Samie’s demanding schedule wasn’t the only reason she and Ciaran broke up.
A source told The Sun that Samie is upset the relationship ended, but Ciaran wasn’t surprised. He had playfully joked about receiving lots of Toblerone chocolates after Samie went on work trips.
I’ve always believed that relationships can thrive even with hectic schedules, but it really comes down to communication and staying connected. That’s what was missing in this case, and it’s so important to me that couples prioritize those things.
They simply stopped talking, and the relationship faded because they weren’t communicating. When they actually spent time together, they realized they didn’t share many interests.
The source also denied rumors that Tyrique Hyde was flirting with Samie, stating it wasn’t a factor in their breakup.
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies for comment.
Although Sami hasn’t spoken publicly about her breakup with Ciaran, she recently posted a photo of a sweatshirt with the message ‘enforce male curfews,’ which many have seen as a pointed statement.
The photo appeared on social media just hours before news broke that their relationship, which began on Love Island, hadn’t lasted even a month after leaving the show.
According to a source, Samie and Ciaran have decided to remain friends instead of continuing their romantic relationship, at least for the time being.
‘They made that decision in the week.
They get along really well and seem to genuinely like each other. It’s possible they’ll remain close friends, and who knows what the future holds for them.
Samie is now considering moving to the United States, following recent controversy where she defended herself against accusations of bullying Lucinda Stafford during her time on Love Island.
Lucinda had a rocky time in the villa and often clashed with Samie Belle Hassan and Jessy Potts.
After leaving the Love Island South Africa villa, Lucinda spoke on the We Need To Talk podcast, saying she felt bullied by some of the other contestants, which caused her to become isolated from the group.
Responding to claims made by Lucinda, Samie told the Daily Mail that many of the accusations, particularly those about bullying, are false and strange.
All the former Love Island contestants who’ve appeared on podcasts have firmly denied that anyone was bullied on the show, and it’s clear the show wouldn’t continue if bullying was happening.
‘That stuff is hard to hear, but you’ve got to move on, like I know what kind of person I am.’
At a Carmex event held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel on Tuesday, Samie shared that she’s still keeping in touch with everyone from her season of Love Island, except for Lucinda.
After leaving the show, the two stopped following each other on social media, signaling the end of their friendship.
Samie believes everyone deserves to have their own opinions and to have those opinions respected, just as she expects respect for her own.
Ultimately, I have a strong sense of right and wrong and I know what really happened. What matters most is that I and the people I trust know the truth, because we experienced it firsthand.
