Sacha Parkinson Welcomes Baby Sadie: Coronation Street Star Shares Sweet Photos
Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson has given birth to her first child.
33-year-old actress, widely recognized for her role as Sian Power in the ITV soap, recently shared on Instagram that she had given birth to a daughter named Sadie the previous week.
Sharing two adorable black-and-white photos of her newborn, Sacha announced her daughter’s name as: ‘A week has passed with our little Sadie.’
Multiple friends of Sacha’s, including Lucy Fallon (who portrays Bethany Platt), swiftly sent congratulatory messages, with Lucy saying, “You look fantastic! I hope everything is alright.
Ellie Leach gushed: ‘Soooooo beautiful congratulations.’
Sally Dynevor, portraying Sally Metcalfe, expressed: ‘Oh my, what a delightful surprise! Absolutely fantastic. She looks stunning.’

Back in the chill of December, I, your humble scribe, found myself brimming with joy to announce that my beloved partner Jon and I were expecting our very first bundle of joy. On a night as magical as Christmas Eve, I shared this exciting news with the world.
As a connoisseur of all things trendy and tasteful, I proudly share my personal experience by posting candid Polaroid shots highlighting my growing baby bump. I can’t help but feel the excitement bubbling within me as I anticipate that 2025 will undoubtedly be an exhilarating, unpredictable, and adventurous year for me.
Sacha starred on Coronation Street for four years before quitting the soap in 2011.
While walking the cobblestones, the actress left her mark by becoming one half of the soap opera’s inaugural lesbian couple. She cultivated a romantic relationship with Sophie Webster during her tenure.
After it emerged that a Coronation Street actor who’s been with the show for five years announced his departure for “greener fields.” (Note: I’ve used the term “emerged” to imply the information came to light, and “greener fields” is a more natural way of saying “new pastures.”)
Adam Hussain, aged 24, assumed the role of Aadi Alahan in April 2020, replacing Zennon Ditchett who had portrayed the character for 11 consecutive years prior.
The actor is now set to leave the cobbles and took to Instagram to announce his departure.
He shared: “It seems the cat’s out of the bag now! Some of you might have caught wind of it, but I am moving on from Coronation Street to explore fresh opportunities.

For the past five years, I’ve accumulated an abundance of knowledge about the world and my industry. Now, I feel equipped to venture out on my own, broadening my horizons a bit. During this time, I’ve forged friendships that will endure throughout my lifetime, and I’ll undoubtedly miss being part of such a unique family.
‘This isn’t a farewell for Aadi however, more like a see you later!
Thrilled about the future and grateful to @coronationstreet @itv for allowing me to bring this character to life. Can’t wait to continue our journey together! See you soon, Adam.
Metro reported that Adam will continue to feature in the soap until the end of summer.
