Rod Stewart, 81, to become a grandfather for a fifth time as daughter Ruby, 38, reveals she’s pregnant with her second child

Ruby Stewart, daughter of singer Rod Stewart, recently shared that she’s expecting her second child. She first showed off her baby bump at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where her father, 81, performed over the weekend.

The 38-year-old singer shared photos from the famous festival on Instagram, looking beautiful and showing off her baby bump in a stylish black dress.

Singer Ruby, known from the duo The Sisterhood and for performing with Rod, attended the event with her family. Her fiancé, Jake Kalick, and their three-year-old son, Otis, were there, along with her half-sister Kimberly, 46, and half-brother Liam, 31, and his wife, Nicole.

But Ruby wasn’t the only Stewart girl with baby news.

Model Kimberly surprised everyone at the annual event by bringing her baby son, who she welcomed last year. This was the first time they’ve been seen together in public.

Kimberly recently shared the first picture of her youngest child on Instagram. The photo is a cute selfie of Kimberly holding her baby, with a blue heart emoji playfully hiding the little one’s face.

She hasn’t shared her son’s or his father’s name. She does have a 14-year-old daughter, Delilah, with Academy Award-winning actor Benicio del Toro, who is 59.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by family dynamics, and Rod Stewart’s is certainly a vibrant one! He’s a grandfather to five already, with another little one on the way. It’s wonderful to see his family growing, and it’s amazing to think he has eight children with five different mothers. It just shows how full and rich life can be!

Last March, Kimberly revealed she was expecting a baby boy with a beautiful Instagram post. She shared photos of herself in a floral dress, highlighting her growing bump, and simply wrote, ‘Baby boy coming soon.’

The socialite has often spoken lovingly about being a mother, especially when it comes to her daughter, Delilah. She once shared, ‘I never imagined I could love anyone as much as I love her.’ She felt the timing was perfect, explaining she’d already enjoyed her social life and was now ready to focus completely on motherhood.

Ruby is expecting her second child with her partner, Jake, a creative director. The couple got engaged in January 2023, shortly after announcing their first pregnancy. After welcoming their son, Otis, Ruby described the love she felt as ‘unlike anything she’d ever known’.

Lots of Stewarts came to the New Orleans Jazz Festival last Sunday to cheer on Rod while he played on the Festival Stage.

Instagram photos revealed Ruby’s growing baby bump while the family was backstage at the Fair Grounds Race Course. She was wearing a beautiful dress.

The festival continues for two weekends, ending May 3rd, and has already showcased major artists like Stevie Nicks, the Eagles, Kings of Leon, and Rod Stewart.

Rod, who has been married three times, shares his eight children with five different mothers.

I’ve been following Rod Stewart for years, and his family story is fascinating! I know he has a daughter, Sarah Streeter, who’s 62 – she was given up for adoption and is the daughter of his early girlfriend, Susannah Boffey. Then, with his first wife, the wonderful Alana Stewart, who’s 80 now, he had Kimberly and Sean, both 45. It’s lovely to see how his family has grown over the years.

Ruby is Rod Stewart’s daughter with former partner, model Kelly Emberg, whom he was with from 1983 to 1990. He also has a daughter, Renée, age 33, and a son, Liam, with his second wife, New Zealand supermodel Rachel Hunter. Liam and his wife, Nicole, are parents to two children, Louie and Elsie.

The singer has two sons with his current wife, Penny Lancaster: Alastair, age 20, and Aiden, age 15. He and Penny married in 2007.

The musician has often talked about being a father over the years, and has shared that his busy career sometimes meant he wasn’t as involved with his older kids as he wished he’d been.

I was focused on my career when my oldest children, Kimberly and Sean, were born. I regret not spending more time with them, although they probably tease me and say I’m exaggerating now.

In a November 2021 interview with People magazine, Rod discussed the difficulties of raising children with a large age gap.

Because my kids are at such different ages, I feel like I need to be many different kinds of fathers,” he said. “It’s important to see each of them as an individual and address their unique challenges.
