In a twist worthy of an intergalactic soap opera, Vibhu, a mid-level manager at the Solana Foundation, has thrown down the gauntlet. The challenge? A no-nonsense livestream debate on X (yes, the same platform formerly known as Twitter) to pit the mighty XRP community and Ripple executives against the might of Solana. It’s going to be epic, or at least mildly entertaining. 🤔
there will be numbers. 📊
Vibhu, the man with the plan and an unhealthy obsession with metrics, has issued an open invitation to Ripple’s finest. “You bring facts, I bring facts. Facts are important,” he announced, as if facts were some sort of secret weapon. 💥
And then, in the spirit of the internet, he added, “Let the internet decide who wins.” Because if the internet can’t decide, then who can? Certainly not your average reality TV show. 😏
Solana Exec Decides to Play the “Numbers Game”
Vibhu, clearly a man of data and diagrams, presented some compelling numbers from xrpscan to compare the blockchain activity of XRP vs. Solana. And guess what? Solana’s numbers are giving XRP a run for its money. A big run.
While XRP’s daily active accounts have been stuck at a sad 25,000 for the past 3 years (how quaint), Solana is zipping along with a shiny 2.5 million. A difference of 100x. That’s right. You read that correctly. 🏎️💨
Open offer to any XRP community member or Ripple executive: let’s do a livestream debate right here on X.

Vibhu’s numbers didn’t stop there. Solana’s 100 million daily transactions put XRP’s 1.5 million to shame. And let’s not even get started on the $50-60 billion in monthly XRP transfer volume. It’s cute, but Solana’s October stablecoin transfer volume was almost $2 trillion. Yes, trillion with a “T.” 😱
Vibhu, ever the fact-fueled diplomat, addressed concerns about bots skewing the numbers. “You can’t fake the data,” he wrote, as if to say, “This isn’t a science fiction plot, folks.” He also pointed out that Solana’s data doesn’t include wash volume, so let’s not start any conspiracy theories. 🚫
Vibhu: XRP Can Still Succeed… But Not Right Now
And yet, Vibhu didn’t let the facts derail his optimism entirely. He expressed a hope-nay, a dream-that Ripple and XRP might one day “succeed at an insane degree,” pushing the entire industry into hyperspace. 🚀
He even acknowledged that future adoption could make XRP a “massive” player in the world of money transfers. But, as he so generously put it: “Maybe Ripple through M&A is buying their way into massive scale. All could be possible. But that’s not what’s happening today.” Ouch. 😬
Vibhu closed with a blunt assessment: XRP’s current traction is mediocre, considering the potential and the time it’s been around. “Maybe it’s time to rethink how long it’s worth waiting for the magic to happen.” Harsh but fair. ⏳
