- Game is said to be a Genshin-like experience, targeting PC and mobile.
Riot Games is working on a new game set in the world of League of Legends. Their studio in Shanghai is hiring for the project, which is planned for both PC and mobile devices.
The pivot from the future FPS title is in line with the new League of Legends title rumours
According to a post by SargeOP on X, the project appears to be a game similar to HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact, but set in the world of League of Legends. It’s expected to be one of Riot Games’ next big releases, and many people are eager to learn more.
I checked the game developer’s website, and they’re currently hiring for many positions. These roles include combat design, animation, gameplay engineering, and art direction, all for a new, unreleased project they’re working on.
Several new games are in the works, but we’re still waiting for Valorant Mobile to be released on phones. Recent reports suggest that other first-person shooter games set in the Valorant world, originally announced last October, may have been cancelled.
Reports indicate that the Extraction FPS project, known as “Project T,” may have been put on hold or cancelled due to changing priorities. This aligns with recent rumors about a new project, suggesting the old one was paused to allow development of the new one, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Okay, so where does this leave us? We don’t have much concrete info yet, but honestly, if Riot is making something like Genshin Impact but set in the League of Legends universe, that could be awesome! Imagine a huge open world to explore. It’s definitely going to be a massive project, so I’m keeping my ears open for any new leaks or details about how it’s actually shaping up.
