Richmond star Tom Lynch and wife Olivia announce they’re expecting their first child: ‘Baby build started’

Richmond star Tom Lynch and his wife Olivia are expecting their first child later this year.

The Tigers player, age 33, and his wife announced on social media Sunday that they’re expecting a baby. They shared a heartwarming photo of themselves, with Olivia proudly showing off her baby bump.

They announced the completion of their Blairgowrie project and the start of a new one, expecting it to be finished in September.

Many of their celebrity friends took to the comments section to offer their well wishes.

‘Congratulations guys,’ wrote sports presenter Abbey Gelmi.

‘Amazing,’ added fellow Richmond player Jayden Short.

This will be the first child for the couple, who tied the knot in Melbourne in November 2023. 

The Richmond player and his new wife got married with around 150 guests, including his fellow football players.

Olivia looked breathtaking in a custom wedding dress by Sydney designer Kyha Studios. The gown featured delicate beading and a flowing, full tulle skirt.

The dress, featuring see-through sections and sparkling embellishments, reportedly took months to create, according to the brand.

For the reception, the designer changed into another custom-made dress – a sleek, white satin gown – from the same designer she’d worn previously.

Tom was dapper in a classic black tuxedo that was tailored perfectly to his athletic form. 

It was such a personal touch! I loved how Sarah and Mark greeted everyone at the reception, and then we all sat down to eat at tables decorated with newspapers announcing their marriage – ‘Mr and Mrs Lynch’ splashed across the headlines. It really felt like a celebration of them!

Olivia shared with the Herald Sun that she and her partner recently celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties over the weekend, and they’re looking forward to their wedding.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I’m going to be wearing two custom-made dresses by Kyha Studios! I just saw them for the first time last week with my mum, and we were both completely overwhelmed – we were actually crying, it was so beautiful! I’m still pinching myself!

In December 2022, Tom proposed to his partner of many years by getting down on one knee at their favorite dog park in Melbourne.

Olivia announced the happy news on social media, sharing a collection of photos celebrating the moment. Her partner looked completely surprised by the beautiful diamond ring.

Okay, so yesterday morning, around 7:20 AM at the dog park, I saw something completely unexpected! I was honestly so shocked, it was a real moment. I had to share it, of course!

Olivia and Tom are understood to have started dating in 2014.
