Richard Osman’s surprise replacement on House of Games revealed – it’s not who you’d expect

After nine years and many episodes, Richard Osman has left his role as host of Richard Osman’s House of Games, and the BBC has now revealed who will be taking over.

Michael Sheen will be the new host of the quiz show. While he’s never hosted a quiz show before, he famously portrayed host Chris Tarrant in the ITV drama Quiz.

I’m so excited! He’s jumping right into things and filming a huge 100-episode season that’s coming out later this year. It’s going to be amazing!

Sheen announced that with the new host, the show’s famously silly prizes will also be getting a makeover.

It’s a big challenge taking over, but as a longtime fan of the show, I’m thrilled to join the cast and finally have my face on a fondue set!
