Red Planet Pictures, the company behind Death in Paradise, just announced a new crime thriller coming to television. The show will be based on It’s Not What You Think, the latest novel by popular author Clare Mackintosh. Kam Odedra, known for her work on shows like All Her Fault, Hijack, Lupin, and McDonald & Dodds, is writing the adaptation.
“It’s Not What You Think” is a suspenseful psychological thriller that follows Nadeeka Prasanna and Detective Chief Inspector Lauren Caldwell. Their lives unexpectedly collide when Nadeeka’s world is thrown into chaos, forcing them to work together.
As the story unfolds, two women pursue separate investigations that quickly lead them into dangerous and unexpected territory, all while a ticking clock adds to the pressure. Everyone is hiding something, but only one person holds the key to the truth, and the reality of the situation is far more surprising than it seems.
