Rebel Wilson is accused of leaking nude photo of actor suing the Australian star

Rebel Wilson is facing allegations that she organized a cyber attack on a young actress, resulting in the leak of a nude photo.

Actress Rebel Wilson, 46, is facing a defamation lawsuit from Charlotte MacInnes, 27, who starred in Wilson’s first film as a director, called ‘The Deb’.

According to a surprising sworn statement filed with the Federal Court on Friday, MacInnes claims Wilson orchestrated a hack of her social media account, resulting in a nude photo being sent to all of her contacts.

MacInnes claims someone broke into her Snapchat account, and shortly after she began legal action against Wilson in September 2025, there was a hacking attempt on her Facebook account.

‘I believe that this was orchestrated by Rebel,’ MacInnes wrote in her statement.

‘It was completely terrifying and caused me a new kind of anxiety.’

She hasn’t provided any proof for her statement, and Wilson, who was in court on Friday, still hasn’t been asked about the hacking incident.

MacInnes, who used to admire Wilson, claims that Wilson made her feel helpless by sharing posts on Instagram accusing her of falsely withdrawing a sexual harassment complaint. These posts were seen by Wilson’s 11 million followers.

In a sworn statement, MacInnes described feeling utterly devastated and publicly exposed, as if someone was deliberately tearing her apart and displaying the damage for others to see.

Honestly, I was really hurt and angry with Rebel. She presents herself as a champion for women, which is why it stung so much when she kept pushing this awful story about me. It felt incredibly malicious and unfair – she was essentially accusing me of being a liar, and using really vile, degrading labels like ‘prostitute’ and ‘sell-out.’ It was just a deeply upsetting experience.

MacInnes stated she chose not to go to the premiere of her first movie, The Deb, because she was concerned for her safety around Wilson.

She stated that she no longer feels safe working in an industry she once loved, explaining that Rebel Wilson’s fame makes it difficult for her to speak up and challenge problematic behavior.

The legal issue stems from an incident in September 2023 where MacInnes and Amanda Ghost, a co-producer of “The Deb,” shared a bath at Bondi Beach. This happened after Ghost reportedly experienced a health problem following an evening swim.

Wilson says MacInnes told her she felt uneasy after Ghost asked them to shower and bathe together, but MacInnes denies ever sharing this with anyone.

In court on Friday, Ghost testified she was surprised when Wilson mentioned MacInnes felt uneasy and then asked if a formal complaint had been filed.

‘Charlotte says all good,’ Wilson informed her after speaking to MacInnes.

‘She just meant “it was a bizarre situation”, not that she personally felt uncomfortable.’

After Ghost shared her relief, the new director explained that MacInnes had immediately confirmed everything was perfect.

However, after talking with Wilson about the complaint, the producer started to question MacInnes’ truthfulness.

‘I was annoyed after Rebel presented a case about her to me,’ she said.

Ghost was very worried, so she decided to stay away from MacInnes, launch an independent investigation into the issue, and ask the young actor to leave the apartment.

After meeting MacInnes face-to-face, she became convinced that MacInnes was truthful, she explained to the court.

MacInnes also stated that a post on Instagram, shared by Wilson’s wife Ramona Agruma on Friday morning, appeared to make fun of her testimony from the day before in court.

Agruma posted a picture of Dory from Finding Nemo on her Instagram Story, jokingly referencing the character’s short-term memory loss. The caption read, ‘I suffer from short-term memory loss… or do I? I can’t remember.’

‘I felt as though she was mocking the evidence I gave,’ MacInnes told the court.

Meanwhile, Wilson will take the stand when court resumes on Tuesday.
