Rapi: Red Hood – PvP Focus Review – Analysis, Guide and Best Teams

As a seasoned player with countless hours invested in this game, I must say that Rapi: Red Hood is quite the enigma. She’s not your typical character to throw into the fray, but rather, she demands a strategic approach, much like navigating through a labyrinth of tactical decisions.

I’ve seen players struggle with her, and I’ve seen others master her, turning battles in their favor with her formidable nuke. Her impact on the game is undeniable, much like the impact of a well-timed joke at a party – everyone turns to look, some laugh, some groan, but no one can deny the effect.

Now, let’s talk about the teams. The first one, with Blanc and Biscuit, is like a well-oiled machine. It’s simple, efficient, and it works. It’s like that old saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

The second team, with Noah, is like the Swiss Army knife of teams. It can handle any situation, but it’s a bit bulky and might not be as flashy as some other combinations. Still, when you need to get things done, this team delivers.

The third team, with Anne: Miracle Fairy and Emilia, is like trying to juggle flaming swords while riding a unicycle in a hurricane – it’s risky, it’s daring, and if you pull it off, you’re the talk of the town.

Lastly, the god comp with Noah, Noise, Rapunzel, and Jackal is like having a secret weapon. It’s powerful, it’s intimidating, but remember, not everyone can find the secret room where the weapon is hidden.

So, there you have it. Rapi: Red Hood, a character that demands strategy, a team that delivers results, and a joke to lighten the mood – all in a day’s work for a player like me! Remember, in this game as in life, sometimes you need to take risks to get the rewards. So, go out there and nuke ’em!

Let’s now dive right into Rapi’s new abilities!

TLDR

Primarily, it’s important to note that Rapi isn’t a Nikke character predominantly designed for Player vs Player (PvP) battles. Although she can be utilized effectively in limited team compositions, she doesn’t meet the standards typically seen as ‘meta’ in PvP within Nikke. Her burst generation is weak because she is a Multi-star (MG) unit and also contributes to Jackal and Scarlet, making Defense teams more vulnerable. Essentially, Rapi requires numerous support units to fill her Burst gauge, much like Cinderella. However, her skill set is less flexible compared to Cinderella, which means the number of effective teams she can be a part of is significantly reduced.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: Rapi’s B1 skill isn’t very useful. It’s recommended to avoid using her as a B1 unit. However, her B3 Burst has significant power, targeting up to 5 units simultaneously. She fires 30 shots per second, which means she releases an explosive shot every 2 seconds, with a total of 5 shots during a full burst. The damage output from this burst is comparable to that of Emilia’s. Despite her multiple drawbacks such as no Burst generation, high resource consumption, and potentially insufficient DPS to defeat the enemy team, she does have an advantage over Emilia: she can inflict damage on two different elements, either electric or wind. These types are quite common in PvP, making Rapi: Red Hood a valuable addition to offensive strategies if her gear boosts her elemental damage adequately. Nevertheless, she is not ideal for defense teams.

Step-by-step Analysis

Burst generation

Rapi’s rate of firing bults is incredibly poor. As expected, this is because she falls under the Medium-Grade (MG) unit classification, and since Player versus Player (PvP) fire rates are limited to 30 bullets per second, she doesn’t have many opportunities to shoot. Consequently, her burst generation leaves much to be desired.

DPS Output and Comparisons

Let’s break it down into three key moments: Prior to peak intensity, as we initiate the peak, and while maintaining the peak intensity.

As a devoted admirer, I must confess that before Rapi fully unleashes her power, her damage output is almost insignificant. In the early stages, she’s much like any other Multi-Role attacker unit, offering little to no impact on the battlefield. However, once she reaches full burst, she transforms into a force to be reckoned with.

In the heat of the battle, I’ll unleash a high-impact single-target nuker at my designated foe with Rapi. This move, amplified by Full Burst buffs, possesses the power to instantly defeat Nikke if she’s my target. Consequently, it’s crucial for my adversary to be ready with some form of countermeasure against this nuke, like Biscuit, to survive the onslaught!

In full attack mode, the most fitting analogy is with A2. Unlike A2, who consistently fires 8 to 10 shots during a full burst, Rapi can only unleash 5 area-of-effect shots. However, these 5 shots are exceptionally powerful due to Rapi’s heavy investment in overload gear. These powerful shots pose a significant threat to any Electric or Wind unit that encounters her. Given the high relevance of Nikkes for Player versus Player combat involving these two elements, Rapi becomes a serious contender for attacking teams, provided you have enough burst generation units for other teams. Additionally, she delivers respectable single-target focus damage as she gains a 97% self attack boost for her base weapon, thereby exerting pressure on the frontlines.

Rapi: Red Hood Damage output showcase

The video shows us that if a team lacks effective healing, they could be overwhelmed by RRH’s damage output. This is an alternative approach to the teams mentioned earlier in the team composition section. This strategy aims for a more deliberate pace to counteract Emilia’s delayed burst damage setup.

Synergies and Weaknesses

Rapi: Red Hood doesn’t have a unique synergy, but she does require a compulsory one because she needs to stay alive in order to inflict damage. This is similar for some other units like Ein. Therefore, she is often employed with survival-oriented compositions, such as those that include Blanc, Noah-Biscuit, or any combination of a Taunter and Biscuit.

In terms of her drawbacks, they’re quite straightforward. She lacks the ability to generate bursts quickly and requires a large amount of feed. Scarlet and Jackal can easily overpower Rapi’s base weapon, which contributes significantly to her lower rating. Additionally, her performance largely depends on who she is matched against. Rapi can be very limiting when paired with survival or healing characters like Noise Blanc or Noise Rapunzel because they can heal more damage than she can deal, especially if Rapi isn’t double-buffed. In such cases, a lot of resources are invested into Rapi’s team to include important burst generation units, which might weaken other teams. Lastly, being a fire unit means Emilia’s attacks hurt her more than she hurts others.

Impact on current meta

Tier List Rating: A

Red Hood doesn’t offer significant upgrades to the existing gameplay. She’s just another choice for offensive tactics, which could make defense even trickier. She seems to be more effective in player-versus-environment (PvE) scenarios rather than player-versus-player (PvP).

She is likely to drop into B tier after a revamp of the PvP tier list based on Champions Arena.

Team Examples

While all teams can theoretically participate in offense, they aren’t optimally suited for defense unless the team’s roster is significantly inadequate. Positioning plays a crucial role here; it’s advisable to maintain the positions as originally designed.

The Main Idea

Blanc,Rapi: Red Hood,Biscuit,Centi,Jackal
Vigor Cube,Tempering Cube,Vigor Cube,Vigor Cube,Vigor Cube

This team is often regarded as one of the two teams suitable for Red Hood (Rapid Response Team). The key strategy involves using white burst to keep RRH alive until the completion of a full burst.

Centi and Jackal replacements:

  • Anis
  • Emilia
  • Rumani

Note: Jackal is the only B1 unit in this team. Only Rumani can replace her.

The Other Idea

Noah,Biscuit,Rapi: Red Hood,Centi,Rumani
Vigor Cube,Tempering Cube,Tempering Cube,Vigor Cube,Vigor Cube

In this scenario, we employ Noah as a shield, allowing him to intercept all incoming harm during P1. This gives Rapi an opportunity to retaliate and inflict damage on the opposing team.

Noah Replacements:

  • Moran
  • Nero

Centi Replacements:

  • Jackal
  • Emilia
  • Maiden: Ice Rose
  • Laplace Treasure
  • Any ClipSG

Rumani replacement:

  • Jackal

A Nuke upon Nuke

Rapi: Red Hood,Anne: Miracle Fairy,Rosanna,Emilia,Jackal
Tempering Cube,Tempering Cube,Quantum Cube,Quantum Cube,Quantum Cube

A strategy involving Rosanna inflicting heavy damage on two Nikkes first, then RRH following up with a nuke on another Nikke. Meanwhile, Emilia softens up enemies P1, P2, and P3, ready to deliver the final blow promptly.

Double the buffs, Double the fun!

Rapi: Red Hood,Blanc,Red Hood,Centi,Jackal
Tempering Cube,Vigor Cube,Vigor Cube,Vigor Cube,Vigor Cube

Same ideas as before, but Red Hood enters the arena to buff up RRH.

Extreme Survivability

Noah,Noise,Rapi: Red Hood,Rapunzel,Jackal
Tempering Cube,Tempering Cube,Vigor Cube,Tempering Cube,Vigor Cube

Let me rephrase that for a more casual tone: The infamous god, Comp. I just hope you never meet Scarlet… This team might struggle with dealing damage.

Ultimately, you’ll find that Rapi: Red Hood in PvP doesn’t offer a great deal of creative freedom. It’s quite a limiting unit, requiring at least two ClipRLs to function adequately.
